In this Furnas walking tour, you'll experience the caldeiras of Furnas, with its boiling waters and hot steams, along with an impressive soundscape of steaming waters, deep sounds coming from the earth and birds singing in the distance. We will take you on a full tour of the caldeiras area of Furnas São Miguel, exploring all the hot springs, hot water fountains and volcanic waters that Furnas has to offer - and all this with virtually no tourists around!
The Azores islands Portugal are 9 volcanic islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and the island of São Miguel is known for its natural wonders. Furnas is one of them.

Wow i have never seen volcanic waters like this! The hot springs, geysers, and lush vegetation make this place look like a true paradise. It's amazing to see how the locals have incorporated the geothermal activity of the island into their daily lives, cooking the famous "cozido" stew underground and using the hot springs for bathing. This video captures the essence of Furnas perfectly, and I can almost feel the warmth of the hot springs and smell the fragrant flowers as I watch it.
