Three notes regarding this video and a visit of the Holy Trinity: - If you plan to visit these passes, try to not do it on a weekend. They can get really crowded. If you pick a weekend go early! I did this trip on a Thursday afternoon in September - that's why the roads are so empty. - The passes only open in June and mostly close early October (sometimes even September) - due to the high alltitude it can always snow and be pretty cold. - Flying a drone at Hotel Belvedere is meanhwile prohibited. The shots you see in this video are the only ones that are not from September 2021, but from early 2020 when flying a drone was still allowed (that's why they are so short, my drone flying skills were still not so good back then... ;) )

Perfektes Timing auf dieser Tour. Diese drei Pässe sind wirklich perfekt. Ich habe mich dort in den 2000er-Jahren immer wieder mit meinen Velos hoch- und runter gekämpft. Rennvelo oder MTB mit Strassenreifen. MTB letztlich besser wegen dem Gepäck für diese langen Tagestouren (bis 15 Stunden) ab Bern via Thun, Interlaken, Brienz und Innertkirchen über Grimsel, Furka und Oberalp und die Surselva runter bis Tavanasa. Oder auch mal über den Susten und dann Oberalp und die Surselva runter. Heimfahrt in die andere Richtung. Aber mit der Bahn bis Oberalp Passhöhe und dann Furka und Grimsel. Immer ein gigantisches Erlebnis.

I rode those passes on my bike, starting on the Grimsel, then Furka and finally the Susten. Fantastic scenery, great roads, I'll never forget that day.

Wow i loved this vid and all the effort you put in it to tell your story as well. I drove these passes in 2018 and i loved the Susten the most BY FAR! I drove them around the same time and circumstances as you did. And its just magical. Especially with the sun going down. I’m currently planning to go there again at the end of this summer with my dad. I want to show him the most beautiful roads of Switzerland! I’m using this vid for sure to visit some local places! So thanks for that!

I was waiting for your video of this part of Switzerland. As you said these mountain passes are beautiful and very nice to ride. I agree. At the first time I came to this area from Hospental and second time from Obergoms. When I came via Furkapass I stopped to the view point. That sight just blow my mind when I saw all curves of Furkapass and Grimselpass at the same time. That`s why I came back to this are a few years later. Thank`s for sharing.

Yes, those passes are great. There are so many great roads and passes in Switzerland. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled on quite a few of those roads. The scenery is just stunning and I always look forward to getting back there.

Thank you for sharing. Your video rekindled fond memories of our auto road trip in August 1984. From Interlaken we drove over Grimsel pass, stopped to view St Christoper Chapel; we then went up the Furka pass, stopping to walk into the Rhone glacier which then was much further out, and the Belvedere hotel was still open. From Adermatt we drove up and over Operalp pass and continuing down the upper Rhine valley. Though we did not drive the Susten pass, from your video I agree it seemed the most scenic with groves of pine forests like bonsai gardens, waterfalls, and short tunnels through granite outcrops; my model railroad display that following Christmas looked similar! Danke!

Traumgegend und Traumpässe - ich fahre die Runde fast jedesmal wenn ich in der Schweiz bin. Vor allem deine Drohnenaufnahmen am Sustenpass sind spektakulär. So habe ich die Wasserfälle über den Tunnels noch nie sehen können. Danke dafür.

Die Abendsonne tut da natürlich auch ein bisschen was in diesem Fall - aber der Wasserfall sieht wirklich so toll aus. Ich war ganz aus dem Häuschen als ich die Drohne geflogen bin. 😂

Brilliant video as always, I did these three passes in 2017 and this brought back some very vivid and enjoyable memories. Apple Strudel at the restaurant next to the reservoir at the Grimsel Pass was amazing.

Yes it’s a very nice place to travel - and all the Swiss food is just so good. A pitty that we couldn’t stop on this trip for some bigger lunch or so, it was already too late and we had to hurry 😅
