    I don't feel like laughing at all when a hamster falls down or is in too cramped up space. Too many of these hammies are extremely stressed.

    Hamsters are always stressed. That's in their nature. Don't pretend you know them, you obviously never had a pet hamster at home. I did have a lot of them and they liked me so much, I let them play in the entire room and they always came to me. But they like to bite their cage because that's how they ask to go out or just to keep their tongues short. It doesn't mean they are unhappy.

    @@keviouk I do have one hamster, and I agree hamsters are different. But still, they need space to be themselves, do their stuff and play. They might stress, but there is a point where too much stress is too much. My hamster rarely bites his cage, of course he sometimes does, but it's not daily. We play and bond with him everyday and make sure his needs are met. I know how to take care of a hamster, thank you very much.

Also, cage biting is not a hobby. Hamsters do it when they are stressed or bored. It’s a sign they need a significant cage upgrade. And if you don’t have the money... then you shouldn’t have bought the hamster.* It breaks my heart that people could ever find this funny. If my hamster was ever in any of these situations... 😭😭

    Cage biting for hamsters is like a dog humping too much to relieve it’s stress or anxiety.Or like a cat overrgrooming.It could get really bad to the point the animal would have to take medication.Also I was thinking about getting a hamster or a small animal and yes I knew how much space they required but I ended up not getting a hamster or small animal.I just couldn’t deal with how short their lifespan is and I know I would be heartbroken even if it’s a fact that there lifespan is pretty short.

    Hi! I love hamsters and seeing proper hammy care🥰! so here are some suggestions on wut u should be showing! Hamsters are solitary and Pray animals ☹️. Hamsters dont like playing with other animals like dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rats, lizards, or even other hamsters! Hamsters should be alone and instead they feel scared and really stressed out 😰. Some dangerous hamster products are: • hamster balls ( they can’t use any of their sentences, they can’t stop once they start, there’s not much ventilation and the ventilation holes are just big enough to get a hamster’s foot or toe stuck.) • cotton fluff nesting ( can get rapped around a limbs and Cut off circulation. If it’s ingested it can cause a blockage.) • wire and mesh wheels. ( a foot of toe can get stuck and it could really hurt them. They can cause A disease called bumble foot.) • softwood shavings, pine, cedar, or sented bedding. ( long story short they can cause an upper respiratory infection which is deadly) • hamster leashes (it tugs on the hamsters abdomen. This is especially bad because hamsters are very fragile creatures.) • yogurt drops ( they aren’t that bad but they’re extremely sugary.) • dust bath ( can also cause an upper respiratory infection.) ... and here are some requirements: • an 6.5 (dwarfs) 8 (syrians ) inch wheel or larger • a cage with 450 Square inches of floor space or larger • a sand bath ( If reptile sand no added calcium! ) • 2 or more hideouts • 6 inches of bedding or more to burrow • a diet with seeds, herbs, and animal protein • chews • exercise These behaviors are NOT normal: • bar chewing ( a sign of stress) • climbing ( A sign of stress) • screaming all the time ( it means they’re in fear. It does not mean they Just learned to scream.) • being “ lazy“ (they’re being lethargic) It’s not okay to: • Force them to do something dangerous that’s “cute” or “funny”. • put hamsters on play dates. • treat them like a stuffed animal. • bathe them. • get them from a pet mill. • impulse buy them (or any pet). • hide them from your parents. • use them as a prop. This is not meant to be at hate comment I just want more people to promote proper hamster care since hamsters commonly get improper care. The care was a bit better but there were still a lot of problems. Feel free to add-on or correct this info!( This isn't my comment,I changed a few things creds to who wrote it!! )

    σσflє Jєѕѕ Concerned, not mad. You on the other hand comes off rather aggressively, perhaps you're projecting? I was calling you delusional, or rather observed the fact that you are, when you clearly showed that you don't understand the difference between domesticated animals, and wild animals. You can tame a wild animal, but it will never become domesticated, and you can never release a domesticated animal into the wild, and think it will make it. Take dogs for example; one of the most domesticated animals there is. There have been several experiments showing the difference between domesticated canines, and wild ones that have been tamed. The domesticated ones will for example instinctively look for help from human beings, when confronted with a problem they can't solve, while the wild ones who are tamed will simply give up. This is something that's genetically inherited, and saying that domesticated animals are "wild at heart" and that calling them "domesticated" is just a form of denial for us humans to feel better, is just idiocy or ignorance or both. Then you add that caged animals have some kind of "duty" to escape, as if a caged animal born in captivity for generations had any perception of what "freedom" is. Thinking that a rodent has that kind of philosophic capability actually is a sign of heavy delusion. It's quite frankly ridiculous. They're free within their living space, and taking them out of that area might actually be stressful to them, as they don't have any perception of the world beyond what they can see with their eyes.

    @@misterfister5810 cleaning the cage often stresses them out, you're basically taking away their scent from the cage. it should only be cleaned out once a month. DIY bin cages are very cheap and easy to make and are very popular. they take about 20 minutes to put together i suggest you look them up on youtube and make sure you get the correct size. your hamster shouldn't have to suffer just because you can't find the right cage. all of this stuff is a quick google search away and you should take pet advice from places like the hamsterhideout forums or the hamstercentral forums. Please do more research on your pet so it can get the proper care. Places like petco or wherever you got it truthfully just don't give the best advice.

If your hamster does this, I recommend adding more toys or a bigger cage (450sq inches+) If your hamster hangs on it’s cage like monkey bars or climbing, they are checking every corner to see if there will be an open door or something. It is important to not breed hamsters in wired cages. Hamsters may be tiny, but it is important to make them survive in a huge cage so they can do their natural behaviours. It makes me very sad. Beat Breadx It is animal abuse. In many of these videos you can see that the hamsters are kept in TINY cages which are way under the minimum size. It’s basically torture to them. Imagine having to live in a small room your entire life without being able to leave. They’re bored out of their minds.

  • @emilycasey781

    @emilycasey781

    5 жыл бұрын

    GreenGalaxyYT Even if you do give them time to free roam, they must have a decent sized cage because that’s where they spend the most time. Hamsters in the wild run up to 6 miles per night. Do you really think a tiny little cage without a wheel would suffice? It really wouldn’t. Not even close to being enough. It’s just CRUEL. If you’re not prepared to do the research and buy a proper sized cage for your hamster, then you shouldn’t own one. PERIOD.
