Love how convoluted the puzzle is. Making connections out of nothing. Batman: The riddle states 'If you want to know where my next target is, solve this riddle: In the morning I'm rich, but in the evening I'm poor'. What do we do in the morning that requires money? Robin: Eat breakfast! Batman: Yes Robin! Many citizens will spend money at restaurants for brunch, a combination of breakfast and lunch. And what do we do at brunch that requires pouring? Robin: hmm, mimosas! Waiters pour mimosas! Batman: And what are mimosas made from? Rabin: Oranges! Wait, there is an Art Exhibit tonight by famous artist Albert Orange! Batman: Exactly. Albert Orange is unveiling his new painting worth millions. This morning Albert Orange is rich, but in the evening, after the Riddler's planned heist, he will be poor. That has to be the Riddler's next target. To the batmobile!

My favorite part is that Batman doesn't know that the Riddler insulted his knowledge of Greek plays. The riddle comes from the Greek play Oedipus by Sophocles. The Riddler simply plagiarized it and passed it off as his own.

@@rowanatkinson3594 Not so far fetched if you either grew up in the time of the series or understand the context of the culture at the time. The Dynamic Duo were trying to figure out which of the four super villains were involved of a vanishing yacht at the beginning of the movie, only to realize that all of them played a part in this game: 1st - There was a call for help that was "fishy" and meant to lure Batman to be food for the shark; another creature that eats a fish is a penguin = The Penguin. 2nd - The trap had happened at "sea"; the word sea sounds similar to another word "see", which in turn sounds similar to the letter "C" = C for Catwoman. 3rd - The exploding shark attacks Batman when it was "pulling his leg"; to pull someone's leg is an old phrase meaning "to pull a prank or a joke" = The Joker. 4th - All this "connect the dots" may seem impossible, but remember this guessing game of charades involves hidden or double meanings that adds up; other activities involving this include proverbs, puns, & 'riddles' = Riddler. That is when Batman & Robin realize they are dealing with the four of them together and with their forces combined, hence why Robin says "Holy Nightmare".

Obviously, you can’t leave your feet behind, so it must mean something else... I have two ears! Yes, it must sound like something. The word ‘take’ sounds like ‘fake’. I have TWO ears so it is plural. What Is another word for fakes? Forgeries! Robin: Of course! There’s a gallery of infamous forgeries at the Footsteps Art Gallery this very evening! Batman: Good work, Robin. There was an episode where a woman stopped at a light complained about that to a cop, who then delivered a lecture on the subject. I wish someone would post that clip, if it isn't up already.

Unfortunately, the Riddler meant 36 as in 3+6, which equals 9, which alphabetically means "i", which is a homophone of "eye" which is a symbol shown at the top of a pyramid on American currency. The pyramids are in Egypt where the sphynx is. The sphynx famously told riddles that led to the mortal peril of those who couldn't solve them. The Riddler has the same MO. MO is also the abbreviation for Missouri. Missouri is pronounced similarly to "misery." Misery is a Stephen King novel which took place in a remote cabin in Colorado. The Riddler was in a remote cabin in Colorado all along.

Batman couldn't understand the man riddle but quickly deduced that the first letter was supposed to be numerically calculated to get 36 which is equal to 3 feet which No man has three feet. This is why he needs Robin. For the basic riddles he is too smart to understand.
