The amount of times I’ve heard “Oh my cat/dog would never hurt them” is insane. Unfortunately, the fact that outdoor animals can also bring in nasties that do harm to or kill their other animals, appears to not compute in some. A bit like those that feed fruits, veg, seeds & nuts, then wonder why they have prematurely dead chinchillas. It’s always a shame when stressing prey animals, of feeding harmful crap for likes wins out over common sense.

As a chinchilla owner, make sure you research now or else you may not care for it correctly

My Chin does fine with his guinea pig friends; just make sure you put them in a neutral area none of which were marked as territory and test out slow.. I have never had a problem.Happy bonding.

@@Aryan-kl4tx I wish I made videos of my degus and chinchillas to share. They're passed away now. A few were extremely human like and others might have been interested. I miss my chinchillas and degus very much. RIP You can buy cheesy chews from petco. They're yellow and they look like triangle cheese slices. They're mineral chews for degu and chinchilla teeth. I wouldn't really recommend it, chinchillas aren't really good pets for small children as they are very needy and require lots of attention Just some advice

You know, watching all these videos and reading comments about everything that has to do with Cuteness VS Care has taught me something. Take pets for example, or a classic old car... You are attracted by whatever it is that attracts you, wether it be the fluffiness of a pet, the cute behaviour they do in videos, the cool factor of a classic car, etc... I learned that you don't actually know what you are getting yourself into when you're blind with all that attraction, and thus you should read up & learn about what you have to do to take care of said pets, or restore this car and keep it driveable for ages to come, and then ask yourself "Will this care & maintenance outweight my love & attraction for this said pet, or car?" and if it doesen't... congratulations, you are accepting the challenge and the reward that will come once in a while. If it DOES, well... then it's better to visit someone who owns one and enjoy it from there.
