My adventures in scamming a phone scammer, which has since become a joke between my friends and I : So this guy called me and started talking about how I owed the government some money, like phone scammers do, and at this point I'm just fed up with these calls. So here's what I did in response: I got really quiet, like I stopped every sound around me, and I started talking like those automated voice systems and I said "I'm sorry but the party you have dialed is no longer accepting live calls." So then I just hear a "hmm" so I come in with something super fast, and what pops into my head is "press one to end call...press two to reserve seats...press three to (then a made crackling noises while saying this next part) call me out on my bullshit...press four to speak to a representative" and I hear the little beep like he was pressing a number and I go "your response has now been recorded. Thank you for calling the California legal department. Your donation is highly appreciated, and tickets will be sent shortly. Have a good day." Then I just hear "GOD DAMN IT NOT AGAIN" and the line goes dead. I want to know how many times it has happened to this guy.
