Greatest show besides Friends
I honestly would not have guessed that Seinfeld would appeal to anyone who wasn't around at the time, watching it regularly. It was such a part of the zeitgeist back then, you couldn't get away from it, and having a working knowledge of the principals was kind of expected. If you had asked me who I thought the audience for Seinfeld in 2023 would be, I would have said, "well, white people over 35-40, for starters," so it's kind of a trip that other people outside of that pretty big group dig it, too. I need to be less surprised about that kind of thing, I suppose. Because IMHBLO, it's easily one of the top ten shows of all time, and maybe even top five. I always felt like Seinfeld was really New York-centric, which used to be a lot more commonplace in TV and movies.
I will subscribe, like and watch every Seinfeld reaction you do, because I miss it. I also don't think those 25 supposedly funniest moments are anywhere near the amount of comedy watching a single episode brings. Jerry playing the Kramer role should mean nothing to someone who hasn't seen Kramer play his own role.
