I had one of these when I was a kid back 25 some odd years ago and I bought it for $25 from a store that didn't really know what it could do. Now later on in life they sell for $1000-$2000 yet I don't even know where it is or who I loaned it to. :/ Moral of the story always hang on to your pedals because one day you'll look for them and may realize they ended up in borrowed borrowed land. :/

@@philzyqotsa It's still called Bi Phase, but all ads were pulled as of this morning. I'm not sure why, but I ordered through Sweetwater before they were pulled, and was assured stock would be coming in by late March/early April. My SW sales rep communicated through email today and reassured me my order is still valid, so I'm sure the listings reappear soon. If I were you I'd call them and ask, because these will be spoken for quickly.

That was the intro to Through the eyes of Ruby by the Smashing Pumpkins. Is this pedal anything like the Craig ANderton Phase Shifter? I looked at both Schematics, and they both appear to be opto isolator based. Maybe the Anderton pedal is a good alternative for those of us that can't afford the Mu-Tron, but can solder, and read schematic?

Anybody know if this was the phase box that Joe Zawinul used on his Rhodes? If not, which one might it be? Doesn't sound like an MXR100 or a Small Stone (at least to my ears). Also thinking maybe the Mu-Tron Bi-Phase was used on B. Joel's "Just the Way You Are . Can anybody confirm with relative certainty? Inquiring minds wanna know. :-) Thanks!

Without Question... Joe Zawinul used this on his Rhodes. You can see two of them in this photograph: www.pinterest.com/pin/331647960031220013 For Billy Joel 's 'Just the Way You Are', it was the EHX small stone. His producer, Phil Ramone, arranged for it. Source: Making Records: The Scenes Behind the Music By Phil Ramone (or just type Phil Ramone small stone phaser in your search engine). Richard Tee was also a user of the Small Stone .

What serial number is your pedal? It's possible to tweak things a bit if you're not happy with the sound, but keep in mind each Biphase sounds a little different these days through component drift and possible need for calibration.
