We remember Bishop Manuel Platon Del Rosario, the Bishop-Emeritus of the Diocese of Malolos, who died on March 23, 2009 at the age of 93. He was born on July 1, 1915 in Baao, Camarines Sur. He was ordained a priest on March 25, 1939. In May 24, 1955 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Calbayog and Titular Bishop of Zerta. He was ordained a bishop on July 25, 1955 was made bishop of Calbayog July 25, 1958 by right of Succession. He was later appointed as bishop of the newly created Diocese of Malolos on December 11, 1961 by Pope and now St John XXIII , and installed as its first local ordinary, He became one of the Bishop Delegate to the 2nd Vatican Council and founded the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary. He died on March 23, 2009
