Hey guys I am British and 34 now. I saw these guys in london maybe 4 or 5 times when I was like 17 to 19. I remember buying this EP from them at there gigs in Subterania or Subverse. The gig was amazing very small and the singer jumped into the crowed and almost broke my kneck, it was great, then we all got on stage with them for the last song. This EP Iis amazing and by far my fave thing they did. So glad it is here on youtube as god knows what happend to my EP. Was anyone else there at any of those early gigs?

We are exactly the same age and I think we probably went to some of the same gigs because I saw this band a ridiculous amount of times in London around then. Discovered them in December 2002 when I saw them play the Mean Fiddler with Stampin' Ground, Sikth, and Vacant Stare. Got given a CD-R of this EP at that gig by either a member of the band or someone who was with them, and then followed them pretty religiously for about three or four years after that. The gigs got too big and impersonal for my liking though, and I didn't love the album tracks, so I just kind of fell out of love with them. I still love this EP though and it is one of the few that properly takes me back to when I was a teenager. Weirdly I sometimes wonder what people our age who were into this kind of thing back then are doing now.

I'm 37 and I also saw FFaF right at the beginning. I remember playing this EP to death. I think I still have it in a box somewhere. I grew up in South Wales so I saw them quite a few times in various venues all around Cardiff and the South Wales valleys. Barfly, TJs, Clwb Ifor Bach, some other places in Pontypridd and Merthyr possibly. I forget all of the supports but bands like Million Dead, Billy Tallent, Transgression, Midasuno, Hondo Maclean, Dopamine, Skindred to name a few of the other Welsh bands I remember going around at the time. I was a dorky teenager back then but found a place in the music scene. It's such a shame many of those small venues no longer exist. Now I'm a slightly less dorky adult and still love music and going to gigs as often as I can. My taste is a lot more varied but I can always come back to this EP. Kinda fell out of love with them when they went soft on the albums, but each to their own.

Man, I remember being handed this EP towards the end of highschool by my friend, along with Hell is for Heroes neon handshake album. Early funeral fucking slapped, this has held up remarkably well. Very fond memories.

I found this from theprp back in the day.. link directed to a private server that they uploaded this ep to and their copy protection was to add "skips" every few min to entice you to buy the real record.. good times.

thanks for uploading this...i had this when it came out and helped me through the Glassjaw drought. This was their sound...this EP...their album that followed was way over produced...sounded like teen pop...but this...!! this has balls...kinda...

Man, you don't know what teen pop REALLY is. Shit like 1D, 5SOS, Meghan Trainor...is teen pop, nowadays. Funeral For A Friend's album after this EP was not close to teen pop, except maybe by 2003 standards.

@@smoresthehusky2581 Agreed, it was just way more radio frendly and lost alot of the screaming. It was the start of clan emo. I dont blame the band tho coz they deserved to make it and get signed so fast. I saw them 3 times before they got signed and 2 times after that. Well done lads, we dont get gigs like this much anymore sadly.
