The CMH Family Medicine HIV&TB presentation for February 2024 focused on the NDOH Viral Hepatitis guideline of 2019, highlighting the diagnosis and management of Active Hepatitis B infection, both acute and chronic.
This presentation hopes to demystify chronic hepatitis B and identify which patients may warrant screening, treatment and closer follow-up.
At the end of the meeting, we discussed the lack of access to HBV DNA testing for patients with chronic Hep B in the public sector. Due to a recording glitch, I had to re-record this lecture, and I have adapted the content to fit better with the resource-restrained limitations.
