Machines that move things fascinate young and old alike. The eyes get really big when the machines are really small. To be more precise, on a scale of 1:87 and remote-controlled. It doesn't matter whether it's an excavator, wheel loader, bulldozer or something similar. The small models move as if by magic. Sand is loaded, transported, unloaded and the remote control people have a lot of fun along the way.
IG-Mikromodell was also represented with its own stand at Intermodellbau 2024 in Dortmund in 2024. On an area of just under 48 square meters, everything with wheels, tracks or other moving parts on the vehicle was moved. From excavators, wheel loaders, jaw crushers and telescopic handlers to trucks, heavy goods vehicles, buses, cars and emergency vehicles, there were numerous remote-controlled models on a scale of 1:87.
If the road was not enough, there were also various locomotives and wagons on an H0e track.
There was a lot of action in the gravel pit with the construction machinery, but also on the race track with the racing trucks. These were steered around the course with great precision and sensitivity. Okay, I admit that the sensitivity still needs to be practiced. But in my head, the vehicles were steered with millimeter precision.
