Fun Way to Memorize the Books of the New Testament in 5-ish minutes! No Songs for Visual Leaners...
I learned this memorization method 15 years ago when I first started studying the bible and it has stuck with me all this time. This simple visual story will help it sink into your brain really quickly. Of course, there's no guarantee it will work as fast for you as it did for me, but if you have a decent memory and are good with visualizing things, there's a good chance!
The first walk-through takes about 4-minutes, the second takes about a minute and a half. At this point, many of you will have the books locked into your memory and you will be able to execute the third walk-through by yourself! And there you have it, memorizing the books of the New Testament in 5-ish minutes!

So glad it could help you the way it helped me!
Really appreciate this! I study the Bible regularly and even am a graduate of seminary, but always struggled with memorization of pretty much anything. Not sure I got this in five, but by the end of your video, I did! THANKS! Now I need one for the OT. God bless

Note that I haven’t tried yet!
I made the top 2 middle rooms the Lobby and made the Kitchen smaller so that there is a hallway on either side. This way, one can have access to each room. Entering the front door, you are in the lobby where there is a lot of action, people are roaming around. A side note on the Girls' (Gals') room is that they are from the Philippines and also like to color. This helps with P and C of the Gals Eat Pop Corn books. I learned not only the books, but also your memorization method. I used it to come up with a way to remember the Old Testament books! Look for my replies to a comment asking you if you have an OT method. It's important to learn things and to learn how to learn. Thank you for the video.

Very clever! I actually came up with a real floor plan based on this that’s very similar to what you said. It could actually make a beautiful home! And I looked at your OT version - very clever. Is Jerry lame? Is he Dan? I’ll remember that from now on lol…

@@JackofAllMinistries No heart or even a thumbs up? And you deleted my comments on memorizing the Old Testament books? I think those things aren't very nice, and that you should treat people who take the time to write comments better.

@@JackofAllMinistries Thank you for replying to my comments. I apologize for accusing you of deleting them. I guess either KZread did or I am just not seeing them. (Or perhaps you accidentally did without realizing?) The comments I wrote about memorizing the Old Testament books are gone. If I deleted something, I have no idea what I did. If it was me, I apologize. As for the memorization, this is fantastic! I love the strategy of telling a story with similar word beginnings. Seems like this would help just about anyone memorizing the OT!
Wow! I learned this so fast and had it down a week later after only seeing it once. Thank you! Do you have one for the Old Testament?

Oh I’d love an Old Testament one!! I was looking for a drawing thing JUST like this to help memorize books of the Bible for kids…I’m teaching a Bible class for middle/HS kids in September and I’m going to challenge them to memorize the books do the Bible and this is PERFECT!! I will definitely be using this for my class, and I’d love an Old Testament!!
Great! How did you memorize the Old Testament?
@JackofAllMinistries

I still don’t have a really good way to do that. I did in a very convoluted and disorganized way so it just “happened.” I’ve been slowly working on a way that’s teachable but I’m not there yet.
This was a blessing. Thank you! Do you have an easy way to remember the Old Testament books as well?

I have a way, but I wouldn’t say it’s easy! I’ve been thinking about trying to redo it so it’s simple. Maybe I’ll get that going here sooner than later.

Old has 3 letters, Testament 9; There are 39 books of the OT. They are broken into groups with the pattern 5, 12, 5, 5, 12 (books in each group). The groups are Torah, History, Poetry & Wisdom, Major Prophets and Minor Prophets. Torah / The Law, 5 books. Jean exits (a building and goes to a) levee, (then suddenly feels) numb (and) doesn't (know what to do.) Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy History, 12 books. Joshua judges Ruth (and the) 2 Samuel (brothers). The 2 Kings chronicle 2 entries and then erase one, thinking never mind, it's there (in the one entry). Poetry & Wisdom, 5 books. A job is to write Psalms and Proverbs. When done, exclaim in joy and sing a song. Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon Joshua, Judges Ruth, 1&2 Samuel, 1&2 Kings, 1&2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther Major Prophets, 5 books. Is Jerry lame, is he Dan? Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel Minor Prophets, 12 books. My new um, habit-- on ze phone haggle ze chairman mal (bad) Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi. This is my own creation and anyone may use it. If you make a video, please reply to this text with a link so I can watch it. I will put a building idea based on this in the next comment.

OOPS! Forgot Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah and Jonah! They are the first 5 minor Prophets. Let's see: A person learning English who says "oh" a lot (instead of you know) is asking his friend Joel if he knows if people think he is a bad person: Oh say (Hosea), Joe L (Joel), am oh (Amos), oh bad (Obadiah), you know (Jonah)?

This is a large administration building. The back door goes out to a levee. Jean exits and goes to the levee where she feels numb and doesn't know what to do. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy There is a large court room with transcribers. Joshua judges Ruth and the 2 Samuel brothers. 2 Kings chronicle 2 entries. One erases his entry, thinking never mind, it's there in the other entry. Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1&2 Samuel, 1&2 Kings, 1&2 Chronicles, Ezra Nehemiah Esther People in another room are busy with their job, which is to finish copying the Psalms and Proverbs. The exclaim when done and sing a song. Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon In another room, perhaps a lounge, someone asks, "Is Jerry lame? Is he, Dan?" Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel In an English learner classroom, someone asks "Oh say, Joel, am uh, oh bad, you know?" Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah A big shot business person in the conference room is bragging in broken English: "My new habit-- on ze phone, haggle ze chairman mal. Micah Nahum Habakkuk Zephaniah Haggai Zechariah Malachi You can probably do better. I hope you found this helpful.

Sorta… I have one that’s unfinished and it’s a little complicated but it works for me. I keep thinking I need to sit down and clean it up so I can teach it, but I haven’t done it yet. I was thinking of trying to set it up like a front yard to go with the NT house…
I love it. Just did it with my son.
