Fun, Flowy, Fast XC MTB in Boise - Landslide Trail POV

Спорт

One of Boise, Idaho's newest mountain bike trails is Landslide. This 2.3-mile trail is a fun, 100-percent singletrack descent that weaves its way down the hills near Hidden Springs. Access Landslide from the popular Red Tail trail. Mostly smooth with some short sections of rock, riders can find their flow on the undulating trail that rewards pedaling through the flatter sections. A huge thanks to Ridge to Rivers and all the volunteers that made this trail a reality.

Can't believe that a R2R built trail in the lower foothills. has berms... this must be in a parallel universe. Looks kinda fun though; thanks for the POV.

Nice job. Had a cross country race not to for from there back in May. Avimor area I think it was. Kinda south of Horseshoe bend

Glad you like the trail! No volunteer component on this one though - 100% Ridge to Rivers crews and trail contractor via Ada County funding. Also should be noted that the trail is for all non-motorized users - so expect to encounter hikers and equestrians as well. Enjoy!

Equestrian...seems like horse power to me. Let the E mtn bikers on these trails, enough is enough already. We all age. Us old guys and dolls that can't get out on the trail as much as we used to still enjoy the 25-30 mile ride, but the recovery time just sucks. Embrace the future.

That's a fast time down landslide. That wasn't your first time was it? It seemed like you were familiar with the trail. I haven't broke 10 minutes yet. Shhhhh, gotta keep these sweet flow DH tracks on the downlow. ;)

Nice trail spomer. Have you tried the nior on some lumpy trails and is whiring sound the gimbal or the bike?

i've used it on some rougher trails and it works pretty well. the hypersmooth can get hung up a bit and give that glitchy movement. the hardest part is making it really secure on the chesty mount b/c of the added weight. i have a 2nd strap across the top of the chesty mount to help keep it from flopping forward. i'm just running the stock chesty mount. it's not ideal and a more solid chesty should help for when it gets rough. for buff trails (like you see here which is the majority of the nearby trails), it's pretty cool. the whirring noise is the gimbal motor. not perfect, but not a deal-breaker to show the bike leaning. if i lived where it was rougher and wanted to film, i still think a 3-axis gimbal is the way to go (even though they're a PIA).

Vital MTB cool, a patch of sound deadening material definitely worth a go 👍

@@Lou-f i have the full foam windscreen, but are you thinking slap some material on the gimbal between the camera? the quark has the big, flat circular area where that could be done i guess.

Vital MTB got it in one. Dynomat or something similar, even if you need to shave it down a tad. It'll absorb vibrations aka sound.
