Those are adorable well creepy adorable lol. I like the modgepodge one better looks more authentic with the Carmel laying around the bottom. Thanks for sharing I always love your crafts

Daveda, another way to get a VERY glossy finish is to coat your work with PLEDGE REVIVE ACRYLIC FLOOR FINISH.

Oh wow Daveda you are truly the Queen of Faux Foods! They look SO good. And those sprinkles are amazing! Are you going to put a bow on the stem? You know what I would do I would? I would slide a Halloween coloured paper straw over the stem to jazz it up more! 🖤🍏🖤🍎🖤

Very nice

Once you use the gloss Mod Podge, you might be able to cut the apple out. You could use plastic apples, then you can wrap them and use them year after year. I would use plastic or glass sprinkles on the fake ones. I've never seen edible black caramel or candy apples. I've seen yellow, white & orange sprinkles on cupcakes, however! I've seen plastic sprinkles, I think at Michael's a couple of years ago... Candy corns too, & candy corns would be cute on them! I like the real, edibles, however! :-) GREAT idea!!!

Daveda, I can recommend a product by DecoArt Americana called: "Triple Thick" Brilliant Brush Gloss Glaze. Walmart, Amazon, & Michaels sells it among others. It goes on smoothly, (no brush strokes), non yellowing and adds a wonderful glossy glaze to projects. I've even put it in a plastic bottle & squeezed it onto some items which makes for an extra thick surface. Could be a final coat after the black paint to enhance the shine & overall look. Thanks for a great tutorial!

It is an acrylic paint 🎨 that is what the bottle said. You could use regular black acrylic then put Triple Thick on it as a sealer

I've never tried it, but someone recommended for the traditional red Candy Apple color I try Apple Barrel Multi Surface paint in "Candy Apple 21958E." Has anyone tried this? By the name seems too good to be true!
