I'd also like explosive rounds for the medic class, and when you reload your gun, you chuck it at an enemy and itll explode like a grenade. Truly depressed at the state of the medic guns.

Lmfao now that was the only gun in Battlefield 1 that legitimately pissed me off. I mean, they added a gun into the game that **never** made it out of prototype trials phase because it was so shitty(most probably, since the trials never went anywhere) and they made it so unbelievably OP that there basically wasn't any reason to use most other assault guns.

@@SFxTAGG3 I mainly saw model 10 a , automatic , hellriegel or smg 08 after the fire rate got buffed . These weapons were the most common ones with a lot of ppl having 100 ss with them ): at least when I saw them.

No, but if they added it ,it wouldn't be as bad since there is weapons that are actually pretty good in each class rather than one weapon that is outstanding when compared to the others. Oh ,and I forgot about the smg 08 that could be another possibility ?

BF6: Medic main weapon category now consists of a variety of syringes! Now customisable with a longer needle for a better range and a fast pull-back upgrade for a higher rate of revive! No guns for this class because screw this class in particular.

personally I'd prefer it if they went back to the old system of medics having the assault rifles, and there actually being an engineer class that has the anti tank and vehicle repair capabilities

The 2x doesnt have Scope Glare. Its the best scope for the weapon no doubt. Leveled it to 10 in some hours. Felt the weapon was kinda OP

Because many of those weapons were used by factions that are not in the game yet such as the Americans and Japanese which will be added over the course of the games lifespan in free dlc increments.

1906 isn't a free gun, it's one of the tides of war unlocks (3rd week). And they released 2 free guns, not 4. Try getting your facts straight before slinging around the word moron, buddy.

Well sure, if you count the guns you have to unlock in tides of war as "free", then yeah it's 5 weapons. Every weapon from here on out would be "free" then.

So if you dont do the tides of war is it impossible to get all the new weapons and stuff? Are they on rotation so if you miss out 1 week you have another chance?

I got 3500 kills with the gewehr 95 inf in bf1 and absolutely loved the fast way you could play recon with it and now it’s just another sniper

I'm glad to hear something is coming for the medic class. I was just thinking. I know it's not just a copy paste deal. Why don't they just bring over the Fedorov avotomat. I know it's another bf1 gun. But it would give a great buff to the medic class . Just my thoughts.

The 2 shot kill seems nice, but dang that slow rate of fire with only 5 shots...

Does the recoil of sniper after firing return to the exact same location as before u fired? That imo might be an issue..

Is console chat bugged? I use to see in the top left corner when I asked for ammo and when other people asked for ammo/health, now its gone.

A big improvement dice could make to the scout class would be to allow us to change the scope reticles

I'm glad they added the ZF41 optic. That was used on the K98 (I've always wanted one for mine). Hopefully they keep adding historically accurate optics. I hate seeing fake stuff on the M1 carbine and KE7 and basically everything else.

Recon could really use a close range weapon, I'm still pining for the BF4 selection but at least ONE gun for each range for each class would at least let people control their playstyle more fully.

The Model 8 is the closest you're gonna get to a close range weapon. Low recoil, 2 shot kill at close-mid range, and fairly quick rate of fire. 180 rpm I think? If you mean an assault type weapon like the M1903 experimental from BF1, I disagree. I think the recon should stick to close-long range sniping-- specializing in intelligence gathering. Because in all honesty, methinks that every recon main out there would use it almost to the point of another spamreigel.

Nah bro, recon BF3 had the ump fam. It was a deadly monster at almost any range. I wish they didnt switch the weapons to Engineer as they did in BF4.

Does the 2x scope produce a scope glint like the 3x and 6x does?

They took my two favorite guns in BF1, the 8.35 Marksman and Selbstlader 1906 Sniper and turned them from aggressive skill cannons into medium - long range camping guns.

They also stated that they’re reworking the scope glints. The 6x is going to have a different type of glint compared to the 3x. As far as this weapon goes, I love it. I find it perfect for a slow shooting sniper where you can play more strategically,

I really like this gun. Ive always been a fan of the self loader sniper in both BF1 and V. Its my favorite gun in the game.. i mainly use it for medium range kills

I just discovered bf5 and this has quickly become my favorite sniper weapon.

I love this gun with the 2x I was beating assaults and medics in close range just got to catch them off guard

2x works really well on this. There is benefits of using this instead of x3 or x6 like stripper clips and no scope glint.

Scout SLRs explained -RSC & MODEL 8 are 180RPM & 180/200 RPM respectively with a 2 Bullet kill till 50m. Both these rifles have lower overall recoil but the RSC trades reload speed and +1 round for higher overall recoil and a lower potential rate of fire. - ZH-29 & 1906 are 150/164RPM & 164 RPM respectively. The 1906 is to the ZH-29 as the RSC is to the Model 8. Both these guns have higher recoil/spread profiles than the Model 8, RSC. These rate of fire diffs may sound small, but they are not (For Reference, an StG44 till 10m achieves a TTK of 300ms) ZH-29 150 RPM TTK - Around 480ms at all ranges 1906 164RPM TTK - 400ms at all ranges RSC TTK - 337ms to 50m, 770ms 50m+ (Very similar to the BF1 RSC, though the BF1 RSC does kill faster overall since it keeps its 2HK to 70m) Model 8 200 RPM TTK - 270ms to 50m , 650ms 50m+ (The Model 8 200 RPM can outdamage even the 1907's

I don't find it too difficult to play aggressive recon, the flare gun being reworked will make it better but I think the weapons are competitive. The krag with 6x owns at medium range for clearing objs and if you wanna get up close and personal, the enfield and gewehr are both really good. If you hit your headshots the enfield can clear an obj really effectively.

So I won't complain again about this gun being bought in from BF1 but I still have a concern, since they already had all the assets for this gun, why wait until after release to drop it?

I don't know why but the Selbstlader 1906 is not available for me. Any ideas?

I was playing optical g95 on bf1, after a good amount of hours on ZH29 recon i just moved to assault, every semi auto feels way better, even with the additional btk.

I tried raising the quality of the video but it was stuck at 360p

I love how far forwards the optics are mounted, yet it covers the whole screen when you use it. They should make it more like Tarkov, and place the optics where they should be in regards to the "normal" shooting postition. Now it's like ur literally put your face over the breach, to make sure the optics cover enough of your FOV. i wouldnt mind a smaller optic picture if the sight was mounted so far in front of the weapon.. (Thig goes for BFV in general and not just this setup)

idk dude i find it very effective to play aggressively with SLRs and iron sights. it's really fun, too. i dont think the only way to play this class is to snipe. I mostly just flank and set up spawn beacons for people. and spot enemies. recon class is super fun.

the 2x appears to give you the ability to use stripper clips unlike the other scopes

Wish they made the slr's in the recon class 3 shot body shot however 1 shot headshot out to 80m + and increase to fire rate so you could either spam and reload a lot or stay within a dangerous zone for the recon and be precise enough for the headshot potential.

I recently picked up bf V (Late to the party I know) and what I feel about semi auto rifles for recons in this game is that there is pretty much no reason to use it? Like lvlcap said it's shit for close range because you can't spam it, and for long range it's a 2 hit kill but so are bolt actions rifles except that they do 1 hit headshots. I still prefer playing with the semis but I just feel like Dice didn't put much thought into these types of weapons... :(

Probably an unpopular opinion but I prefer the bf5 sniper damage drop off over the sweet spot mechanic. Makes sniping more predictable, no random 99 damage body shots because the target was 10cm outside the sweet spot. Also it kind of forces you to aim for the head at longer ranges (and hitting that 500m+ headshot feels WAY more satisfying than a oneshot bodyshot at a random range)

if they gave the recon some unique sidearms like a ww2 uzi or a better revolver that would be cool

Can't unlock it as 'destroy a tank' assignment from Tides of War is bugged! I've destroyed at least 5 tanks and none unlock this gun! soooo frustrating! DICE FIX THIS!

You said a lot of what I've been thinking regarding the recon class. It kinda feels pointless to use. I too miss the self-loading rifles from battlefield 1. The guns in this battlefield just feel too similar. They are all sit at the back of the map and pick people off guns instead of giving us guns that we can play the objective on. I'd really like to see them crank up the fire rate on some of these self-loading rifles and make some improvements to pistols so I can play recon without feeling like a useless sniper.

Really hope they make sidearms stronger. I use to run around in bf4 pistol only just for the challenge. They feel and sound so weak in bfv.

I do miss the sweet spots. I'd like to see them back with the bolt action rifles, leave them off the semi auto's, but it would be nice to get one-shot head shots for skilled players.

My experience is slightly different from yours. This is a really great rifle. Strangely enough the first time I used it was in tdm matches and I got 17:1 with revives using it. (my norm is 0.8 k/d in this game so far.)

I loved being a medic in all the battlefields.....but i agree BF5 needs something new for the medics that will give us a reason to keep playing the way we like.

They had to change the 1906 so when the M1 comes out there’s still some variation. I’d expect the eventual M1 will be like the old 1906

Levelcap, and I don't do this often, so you know how much I care about the 1906, Al8 and recon class in general. I actually agree with everything you just said. This is just another hit people in the back camping gun. It's no different than any other scout weapon. I want to be aggressive and mix it up on objectives. That quick kill- reload play-style was the most fun I had in BF1. I didn't enjoy just overwhelming people with the best guns and sheer firepower. I wanted to emasculate them with skill cannons. How good are you really when you do well with the best weapons in the game? Topping the scoreboard with a 5 round SLR that barely anyone uses? That shows some skill. I think I was killed by the 1906 Sniper less than 5 times in two years on BF1. It's my fifth most used gun at 29 stars. The Al8.35 Marksman is my most used at 62 stars. As I get better in the game, I want to up the difficulty. But this game just doesn't allow for that style

this weapon would be fun if it had the weapon damage of the gewehr 43 and the original firerate. so its more like a spam on one player and then reload. it would be still balanced because it have only 5 rounds

Make the RSC and the 1906 like they were in BF1, give scouts better spotting gear so you can play aggresive Recon. Also some good iron sight rifles would be good

Same thing for me.Destroyed like 3 tanks in a match last night still sitting at 51 damage on the assignment. I tried the trick where people say don't have more than 3 special assignments going at once, and it still didn't work. Tried different servers reset the game nothing has worked.

recon definitely needs some way to be useful for the team. rn the only useful thing you can do is place a spawn beacon behind enemy lines. i think if they gave recon some useful tools they wouldnt be so hated, because lets face it, 90% of recons contribute almost nothing to the teams victory and just camp the edge of the map

it was a pain for me cuz the tides of war bugged on the destroy 1 tank requirement and i destroyed like 15 tanks and then decided to restart my pc and that fixed it, not sure but i think when they break restarting your system might fix those issues
