Fully Modular Terrain Tiles from Children's Magnet Toys
I wanted to share this neat magnetic terrain tile system that I came up with using magnetic children's toys. It's fully modular, and you only really need to buy just one set of magnetic tiles for virtually any terrain you can imagine. Plus, I figured out a way to minimize the amount of foam you need per tile.

The tiles themselves are a great find. I always find it funny that terrain makers are obsessed with miniature-level detail on their most basic terrain. Much cheaper and faster (and often as effective on the tabletop outside of HD photography) would be simple printed scenic papers, either flat or textured, of the kinds widely used in model railways. Loads of manufactured ones exist and they're also incredibly easy to just print at home as well. Stick some of those onto these tiles and you've got an instant result without any effort. Using papers also lets you makes all the tiles 2-sided.
neat
awesome first video! hope to see more in the future!
I know it might be more crude? But I'm now wondering if you can just use printed tiles on the steel and use the toys that way so just glue and cut it a set of tiles
