Great videos you do of my HOME! MY city Hero's ...the best FD around ... I've always admired WFD ... Always will.. It's what got me started in my career as a Firefighter... Since I was a kid , it was always WFD and of course all our favorite, LA County 51 ... WFD has set the bar for many standards in fireground operations . Looking at your videos of these folks still knocking them out after all these years ...reminds me of when I was kid , chasing E5 and L4 , watching them work and giving me the dream of doing it myself . Worcester Fire ...will always hold a special place in my heart and soul , they are the best of the best ... Thank you for spending so much time and effort udizzy, I have watched probably all your videos and they are above all my favorite . Keep up the great work ! I'll always be a follower for sure . I can see how these videos would be great for training not just for WFD but for others as well.

I would Like To Start By Thanking you for your service Brother. and Also We are Very Proud of The Worcester Fire dept and All Our First responders. What We do is Out of Love and Respect for Them as well. I have never been a Firefighter But over the Years of Filming them they have took me in as one of Them. Very touching I must say. But The truth is, We all can learn to be more safe and I hope someone can learn from the video's, it all starts with US. one day at a time being as safe as we can. @@udizzy1969 your filming is excellent! It's like a tv show . Better than COPS! Your narrarrating is spot on and most of the time I watch it on my big screen . I really enjoy your work and it reminds me of my days on the job that I miss everyday . I miss Worcester as it really is a good city , yes it's not like it was , but it still is a kool place . The Worcester Fire Department was a big part of my life as a kid and I'll never forget the handful of guys who helped from the WFD , WPD and WEMS over the years I lived there . Thanks to your videos it keeps me in the loop far from home and helps me keep an " eye on the guys" from afar. The new training and tools that have come along in the job and how things are done, change constantly and are seen in your work . The radio traffic included in your videos is one of the most important to me because I do understand it , and communication is key on this job . Once a Firefighter, always a Firefighter. Everytime I come to visit my home city I go to most of the stations to check them out and get my fix 😆 ! Keep up the fantastic work Dizzy! Maybe someday some network will pickup your stuff . We need a great fire show on the tube . There hasn't been one since Emergency! in my opinion ! Thanks again for your great work , I admire your extreme efforts from about 1200 miles away !

Your vids are on point Dizzy. I tattooed for 30 years in salem nh.I tattooed firefighters from Worcester after the Cold storage fire that took 6 firefighters.It was a Letter W made of steel plating with a number 6 on the front! Ill never forget those guys.Tough men!

That how I started with the local fire department when I 15 and work my way up to a volunteer fireman and I did for seventeen years.

Great documentation brother. And it was pretty cool getting the updates of arriving companies from the lady of the house. Tell her we said thanks for the help!

Good video dizzy I noticed the lady who appears early in video being helped across str. My first xpln working for gas comp in the 80s was in Everett in an apartment 2nd flr kitchen at the stove. When I arrived heart beating a mile a min the first firefighters I came across were laughing at me and said you're going to love this. Let me state no 1 was hurt When I got in the house and to the kitchen there was a sauce covering the whole kitchen from like 3ft up ceiling and wall. The occupant never really used a stove and left a large pan full of a sauce to simmer unattended It boiled over an put out the flame the gas built up in the body of the stove till it hit oven pilot and boom. Lucky no one was hurt. We take it for granted that we were raised around all this stuff. One day I'll tell u about chickens in houses and candles

@@udizzy1969 I've always admired the Departments of the North Eastern areas of the US. From Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Myself originally from Pennsylvania, the birthplace of the volunteer fire department, have always seen the North East as the bar setters. Don't get me wrong there are some awesome departments nation wide, but call me biased I guess, it's where it all started and continues.

Another outstanding multiple alarm fire video on behalf of Dizzy and Tina. Also an excellent job by the Worchester Fire Department saving lives and property while knocking down fire during this incident. I hope that nobody got injured during it and I hope that all the people who have lost their beloved belongings and homes will get all the necessary support and help they need right now! @87KIDCROSBY ;In Detroit,any officer who didn't go-INside with the crew,was known disdainfully as a:DRYcoat!! My first officer was right there WITH me,deep in the hottest part of the blaze! Once we went alone(as the ladder truck was picked-up on an extra alarm in a nearby battalion,and we only rode three,including the F.E.O,on the pumper due to low man-power)into these abandoned,poured-CONCRETE housing projects,crawling around,for what seemed like forever,in INTENSE,relentless,STIFLING heat in the pitch-BLACK trying to find the blaze,when we discerned the blaze was up on the second-floor,and I crawled up the stairs,rounded the corner into a veritable WALL of pure HEAT,which sent me BACK down the stairs,where my lieutenant calmed me down,and told me it was GOING to BURN us,but that we would have to ENDURE the searing heat,up until I could hit the blaze with a strait-stream,if we didn't want to lurk around in the heat and the dark,all NIGHT!! And he was right beside me,AS I killed the blaze with a hard BLAST to the base of the blaze,from the inch and a half line!! Always loved and respected that man!!

It doesn't take balls, it takes TRAINING. If you don't know what you're doing, you shouldn't be on a ladder, balls or not.

I commend you for your driving. I've seen some driving like they were a emergency vehicle or something.

I was just thinking about this fire, I don't recall a fire like this happen in a long time, those ended with out a death of a fireman. Good job by the WPD & WFD, I this fire Worcester had a few towns covering, like Auburn. I hope for no more fires in Worcester, this had to be the worst summer for fires yet.

While you are responding have you thought about becoming a ham radio operator? Living as high as you do you would talk all over the US +. Fire: Went up fast, 6 or more families without a home. A fine job for sure, put it out before spreading to another. Good vid Dizz

If you can't get to the seat of the fire, you aren't going to put it out. It will go out eventually on it's own, when all the fuel is gone

"Wistah fiyah depahtment". It was kind of fun to see a few familiar places as he was driving to the fire. Occasionally I will still drive to Worcester to Shrewsbury St to go to the Boulevard Diner.

Did you find out about that fireman that had to be seen by the EMS. Before I shut down the scanner there was a fireman on the Harrison st bridge that needed medical attention. This was one of those fires that you would wish never happen, 30 more homeless. I hope they get housed, great video

That was a big one, we don’t have buildings constructed like that here , made me think how I would attack that one , so it’s three levels and a possible basement? Is there a common stairway inside that goes to all three upper floors ? They did a great job getting those ladders up quickly for possible rescues . Thanks for posting it’s good to see how others take care of business.
