This is has been so helpful! I often have my friends join me on my survival world and they like to come into my base just to "look" at what I have in my storage, so this is a great idea for my super valuable stuff

I would make two of these one for ores and have a furnace to auto cook it and then have a hopper to the chest just drop coal in it to fuel it up and it should cook and go into the chest that would be a lot more useful for me in survival mode assuming that's the mode your in but that would be handy and you wouldn't have to worry about cooking it and having to take it out the furnace so if you could try that that would be awesome😃

NB for MCPE players: The contraption isn't going to be working if there's no block above the redstone torch beside the 2nd dropper. The items will be stuck just before reaching the chest. I can substitute for a different rail. I recommend using powered rails. As long as the rail isn't powered, the minecart hopper wouldn't go anywhere :) As always, good tutorial, +MrCubey

Joshua Monge Try to build the contraption again and check the hoppers. Remember, hoppers stop transporting items if turned on. If you can't find the problem, try run on different version. I post this on June, so MCPE is still 0.14 (i guess) For me, it's working fine.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I play faction servers and the people in my faction treat me like garbage because I'm 12 and they steal my ores. Now this trick will leave my faction members confused :)

I have a question. Well i did build it in minecraft PE and as soon as i drope 1 item the piston will open for 1sec if i drop 64 items it will be opend for 64 sec.And also the items wont go into the chest with the droppers.The items will get stuck in the last dropper beafore reaching the chest above.If someone knows how to fix this then please let me know. Thnaks

I used this in 1.18.1 and can only get it worker if there's only 2 Droppers, wasn't too much of a problem, I just had to elevate everything 1 block. Little awkward but still functional

Here is a really good hidden chest mechanism I made up! It is way smaller and almost impossible to find without hacks!!! Here is how to build it: dig 2 blocks down, place a chest, and put a block on top. Yes, I know, I am a genius.

Does not work, the things that I wanted to put in the chest did not appear to be in the chest when I threw the things that I wanted to put in it. It appears to be in the dropper underneath the chest.
