pretty much how it always goes. family only sells or keeps items they personally see value in. women tend to throw tools and vehicles away, men tend to throw dolls and antiques away, kids tend to throw away pretty much anything they don't have use for when family dies because they dont know the value of it, so they assume it's junk.

I believe this was the house of an elderly couple. The twins were their children and they grew up in that house and then moved out. Had kids of their own and brought them there for visits to see their grandparents. The picture you saw downstairs of the young couple with a child sitting in the chair, that is one of the twins. Just because the pic was there doesn’t mean they were the ones living there. I have pictures of my kids but I don’t have many pics of myself laying around my house. I think they parents eventually died and the house has been sitting there waiting for the twins to come and go through it. It’s hard to go through your parents stuff after they’re gone. Especially since it looks like a few generations worth of stuff to go through. And the longer you put it off, the harder it becomes to go do it.

Hi guys, what an amazing vid,so sad to see such a beautiful home left behind,and such a mystery as to what happened to any family members, but if someone did pass away in the family,it may be still too hard and painful,for any family member to deal with the property,even after 5 years,the blood stain,could of been caused by someone cutting themselves by accident,when family members,first went through some of there belongings,as there was such a lot of stuff in the house,great vid guys👍,take care!

WOW I don't know what to say. I'm crying this brought so many memories of a couple from Germany that were like my grandparents. They came over here the depression started in Germany, when they got here the depression hit the U.S. they told me stories of having to sleep in ditches covered only by newspapers. They became a maid and Butler for a wealthy family in Savannah Georgia saved enough money to buy land and build a shrimp boat dock in his back yard and died very wealthy. Most of the furniture in that house like the table you were sitting next to when you signed off was made by Cushman colonial which was bought out by Ethan Allen. He went to Chicago back in the 1950's and ordered the whole house of furniture. They have little medal tags under all the furniture with numbers, my furniture has the #107 on all of it. He was the 107th customer Cushman colonial made furniture for. The furniture is put together with small wooden dowels , no nails and is cherry wood. I loved this one ❤️. Memories.

That house is a museum of beautiful antiques. The house of wonderful memories.

Those bells went around a cows neck so you could hear where it was out in the field in the dark. And the bells would keep other predators away from cow.

I think I have watched almost all of your videos and it's so great to see that you are still doing it. One thing for sure, I am dumping out a lot of the things I have as I don't want my house to seem filled with garbage when I pass on to the next realm. Why do people buy so many fake flowers and fruit? I don't like them. Keep up the good work, from John in California.

Hey John, We think the same about this whenever we pass away we want all our belongings stored somewhere and not just letting it decay. John Allen: Fake flowers, fake fruit??? That was all the rage in the 50's through the 60's. Many people bought them to decorate dining room tables, buffets, kitchen shelving, etc...Just a fad back in those days.

Once a home filled with love,life,laughter now a sad place left lost,lonely and frozen in time .great video..as always..I expect nothing less from y,all..always the best .

I heard that 3 generations of one family from Germany parents, 2 children, and grandparents killed in a plane crash. They were teachers, they saved 20 years for a trip of a life time to Florida. Don't know if the timing is right,but it was the Concorde that crashed in France. Maybe it wasn't this family but maybe something tragic like that. What else could explain why practically every thing is left in the house.

All these things that get left ,makes you wonder why we collect things ,but in saying that ,they are things that means something,but no one else does ,only you .my sister used a tea spoon with a teddy bear on the top of the spoon,she told me she used it a work making tea ,30years ,she couldn’t leave it when she retired .I wouldn’t of known that ,so I do get it .love to my beautiful explorers Ann uk xxx

At least no one has gone in there and disrespected the peoples stuff by putting graffiti everywhere or stealing the expensive items. I love watching videos like this. God bless you for showing and not destroying these beautiful homes.

It's strange that the house has been empty for so long yet there really isn't much dust or cob webs. As for that room I think it was family looking for money and valuables. The light fixture you asked about in the begining was copper other peices were bronze and copper. You guys did a great job once again.

Hey Jo, it is indeed very strange that there isn’t many dust or coat webs. We think it’s because it is a well known place where many go for exploring. Maybe the rooms where also searched trough by thief’s, never know... These light fixtures looked really good even in 2019 it would stand out. Thanks a lot for the comment :)

It's so puzzling to find a home packed with items from three or 4 generations! No one wanted the job of cleaning out the house and garden. So MUCH STUFF!! Maybe they all just went traveling. Janine , this is how it happens (the accumulation) for some of us. 1. Grandparents pass on, we get furniture and mementos the no one could part with. 2. You are older now and your parents pass on. Now you have some of their things in your home. So there you are with 3 generations of possessions in 1 home. If I were to die soon, that's what you'd find in my home. I am starting to sort out and sell, tideous process.

This is so perfect house you can really get the feeling of this couples whole life and I am getting emotional with tears as is all forgotten for some reason.maybe some argument with family over inheritance,maybe but is completely everything left inside

hey guys I am from Germany and this brought memories back when I lived with my grandparents. The one book you looked at looks like a book from the bank where you keep track of how much money is in your account. And the stuff pets the mole and elephant are from a kids series called die sending mit der maus…by the way the wooden spoons you saw they also used them to woop your butt lol .thanks for showing it was nice.

I knew the family through volksmarching in Germany when I lived in Germany in the 80s.I am a red head also so when I first saw the twins I asked if I can get a picture of us 3 together. They and their mom agreed. They found out I spent a lot of time on the Mississippi River ,camped on a lot of the islands that floated down the river to the dam locks and tug boats pulled the islands back up the river and one of my childhood girlfriend's mom cleaned the inside of the steam and paddle boats while the tourist was spending the day on land sightseeing at the city port. They really had a great interest in all that , so I told them I will share my memories with them if they shared theirs memories of Germany and we all helped each other learn the other ones' language. They went to a lot of volksmarcing and i did too. The 2 lambs their dad hand made for them . Their entire family called the twins their "little lambs" The blue bikes were their bikes and the last year I was around them their folks bought the girls a tandem bike which they loved Their family seamed normal and happy. All 3 ladies could sew needlework and do craft arts and cook to perfection. The Dad could repair build anything from wood to electronics. They all were great gardeners....but when the Dad , as the day went on , got more liquor in him they got more distance from him . He was moody. I moved back to.America. I asked one of my American friend that still lived near them about the girls. She said that one twin had a baby and they all lived in same place together. One night Dad came up stairs and started to abuse the twin that did't have baby and the other one stabbed him. He died for sure I heard at hospital.

The vibe of the house felt off putting, like something had happened. That explains it. How sad.

I am actually from New Orleans. How interesting to see that wall decoration in Germany.

I just can't thank you enough for sharing your explorations, but most of all you care of of the property and respect to the past inhabitants.

I WISH I COULD MOVE IN AND GIVE IT ALL THE LOVE AND RESPECT IT DESERVES. I CAN'T SEEM TO STOP COMMENTING ON THIS. I THINK THINGS ARE ON THE BEDS FROM PEOPLE COMING IN AND SNOOPING BUT THAT THE TWINS OR WHOEVER STILL COME BACK.

I think it's sad when people go through really hard times because it scars them the rest of their lives. They never throw anything away. I could throw away 80% of what is in that house and it would look so nice. I have the same problem with food. I put myself through college and many times was beyond hungry. Now I hoard food. So much! My cabinets are stuffed full. But if there is a SHTF situation, I'm covered for at least a year!

I think the family may have had to leave in a hurry because I don't think they would have left all their memories behind otherwise . I feel sad I remember our house in the Philippines 🇵🇭 before we abondoned 1987 due to my father illness some of our neighborhood told us your house become a hunted house already. During my vacation 2013 from Saudi i visited our home it feel me more sad i remember my childhood memories no one cares our home and it really look like a hunted house.

Why not fix it up, use it as vacation home, or sell it , its a shame to have to give something up that your father worked so hard for. Respect his hard work he gave you as children.

I believe the light with a pull switch is hammered copper. Did you notice the baby bottles and child’s sippy cup in the kitchen cupboard. There was probably a grandchild(ren). I love the entry hall. Oh my what a beautiful dress! The canes and walking sticks are awesome. I love the contents of her china closet. The sunflower picture is wonderful. The clock in the case is a travel clock. 😊 I also have a doll collection and my son who I adore calls them my creepy dolls. 🤣Just exactly what is it with you guys ... so silly. They have dear faces and make me happy. 🤣

To me it is amazing that you find these beautiful homes full of treasures and antiques that have been there for years. Here in the states the house would have been trashed and everything gone through and treasures stolen and the house spray painted with graffiti and left to rot. Nothing is sacred! A lot of memories left behind. In some countries there is costly inheritance taxes which is why a lot of European homes are left abandoned with all the contents. I am not sure we will ever know the full story. Perhaps someone in the area knows. Thank you for sharing this explore.

The dispute of the hat pin or earring. It's a hat pin. My grandparents came from Germany, slightly over 100 yrs ago. They migrated to Michigan, USA. I believe they came in through Canada. I moved to Texas after High School and have been to New Orleans, Louisiana a few times, it's only a 5 hr trip from my home. Thank you for a look into items my great grandparents may have had.

After seeing those wooden shelves above the kitchen windows, I asked my husband if he can make me some and he said yes🥰

Im starting to feel redundant because I always say the same thing. Really, really enjoyable video.. i think all of the clothing out on the bed was someone trying to pack in a big hurry. Probably looking for personal items they wanted to take and could not remember where they were located. You guys are right up there with the best 2 or 3 abandoned videographer’s i have found on youtube and believe me I look! I have never bothered to sign up to be a patreon before but your videos are worth it, so I am. Your videos are consistently well done and good quality. This is what abandoned videography should be and I am a fan.

I can’t figure out why the people who lived in the homes that you video had so much stuff? Where did they buy all of that stuff and get it back to the house? I can see if there has been more than one generation living in these homes (mansions), but it is still soooo much stuff.

Definitely my favourite urban explorer channel. You the only ones who do this much detail and care. When I watch I feel I have seen everything I wanted to see.

I am from Louisiana. New Orleans was my weekend playground in my college days. Live in Illinois now. Really miss my home. I just recently found you guys and really enjoy your videos.

when water sits in pipes for a long time with out use,the pipes rust once the water runs again for a bit the water clears,he must of did wood working to he had a belt sander.

Wow, first abandoned house that looks lived in. I see no cob webs yet. Such a warm and welcoming home, their little personal trinkets, and souvenirs of pass voyages, saddens me. I know its been 6 years, maybe the descendants do not have the funds to take the property and its contents. First thing to do is secure the home, and lock it up from further vandalism. They are probably still mourning. By the looks of their home and items, I see a lot of love and a close family. The blood splatter could be a nose bleed, since it's just a couple of drops, and not a bloody crime scene. Not worried. That Nizo S56 8mm camera I believe it's a Schneider from 1975. Hope the owners enjoyed their travels, and lived a beautiful life. Filming things that made them happy. As always, My deepest condolences to the family, if there was a lost. I had to abandon my home and everything in it with exception of a small duffel bag of items in 2016. It is a terrible feeling and thing to have to do. I love watching these types of videos. Recently found your channel and have been binge watching. Love the both of you and how yous are respectful, very caring but also try to piece together what happened to the people. I feel extremely sad for the families be they wealthy or every day people, because going by my own experience only death or something very serious happened. I can imagine what people would think and wonder about me were they to find and explore the time capsule of my home that thankfully was perfectly clean, and all my belongings with zero indication where I went/what happened to me. Especially as it was me literally up and disappearing for good reason without a choice. My morning cup of coffee still sitting on my side table, clothing in my washer, a piece of needle work/cross stitch on my other side table, valuables, photos etc all left behind as though I was simply away for the day. I still struggle with the loss. It's not about having to leave behind the valuables, the beautiful antique and taxidermy collection I had. It's the personal things like photos, letters, all of my childhood stuff.. Stuff is just stuff at the end of the day however true treasures like photos cannot be replaced. Guess I should've left a giant sticky note on my 2016 calendar saying "I'm still alive and okay."😅 Keep up the awesome job guys!! New favorite channel! Love being able to see how people live in other countries. ✌💜💜💜

I'm so sorry, this happened to me & my family, as well, I was only 8 years old, and my sister was 1 year old.. it was the day after Christmas... The house we went to had nothing... We didn't have much money, I remember only having one chair in our living room, and almost no food in the cupboards, sleeping on the floor for weeks, and then I only had a mattress... It was tough, not only that, our house was huge, and we had to move into a tiny home... And that's still where my family lives

@@HeyItsCharlie I am so sorry. Especially as you were a child. When I was a teen we lived in something called a coal shack. No bigger than a regular sized bedroom. Wood stove for heat and cooking, no bathroom or sinks with an outhouse. We get tons of snow and temps go down to minus 30 (not sure what that is in American.) We used water basins for washing. Talk about awkward being a teen girl not having a bathroom. We mostly lived off expired mre's that ppl would donate by the case. They were gross but if not for them, we wouldn't have had anything to eat. I think we lived there for a yr. Looking back I appreciate every bit of the experience regardless how bad everything was. To this day I never take for granted having electricity to being able to turn a tap for water. Also a major insight into how ppl lived and serious respect back in the late 1800's when the house was built. Do you feel the same in some regards? Although I was older than you when my mom moved us into that tiny house, I so relate to what you lived through! I apologize for replying tonight. I meant to sooner.💜 Edit:/ Do these kinds of videos trigger you? I LOVE abandoned everything and anything. When I first started watching these types of exploration vids a few yrs ago, I loved them but they also made me feel sick and hella anxious. I'd have nightmares about my abandoned home. Doesn't bother me anymore. No need to answer if it's too personal of a question.

I don't get triggered by these videos actually, maybe because I was so young I didn't really understand, and for a long time I thought we would go back... But when I was a teen, we visited the town where we used to live, basically just driving through, it felt weird, but I saw our house, someone else had moved in... That hurt too, my parents had built it together, life never turns our how you'd expect it! But sometimes it could be for the best, as that town recently became rundown and full of drug use, glad I didn't grow up there. I wish the best to you 💖

Wow that house was amazing and everything was just left. It was all in perfect condition, a time capsule for sure. Rotary phone! I love seeing those, reminds me of my grandma. Vandals go in and toss everything, trying to find anything worth anything. Great find and thanks for sharing.

I live in Crowley Louisiana, which is about 3 hours from New Orleans, Louisiana. Have been there many , many times. Great party town, especially at Mardi Gras, which is a state holiday. Enjoy your videos and keep up the good word.

Great explore - thank you for being so respectful of everything in the house! Crazy that no one has done anything with the items or the house in so many years. I would have loved to have seen the outside of the house as well.

Should have called it the baby stroller house , odd what may have happened to the family .Love you guys thanks for the explore!

you'd be amazed at how many people these days dont want reminders of dead relatives around, and find it emotionally painful to go through their stuff after they die.

Thx guys , such an amazing find , very strange the house has been abandoned with everything still left behind. It would be cool to find more information as to why the home was left abandoned. Thank you maureno and remon great video as always.

I think the twins are older now and moved out, but stayed from time to time, perhaps took it in turns as the parent grew ill, perhaps they find it too hard to go back there to collect the stuff...:( seems too clean to have been empty for 5 years tbh...

Wow wow wow!!! It’s unbelievable that who ever was their last just left everything behind. I find it so terribly sad that no one has claimed this entire house.... I think it was at least one twin that was their in 2014... for some people it becomes overwhelming and all they can do is walk away... precious family pictures and that old chest!! I think the lamp is copper and that was a hand beaded peacock feather you thought might be for a hat or?? It looks unfinished... I'm a viewer from New Orleans! It was surprising and fun to see the "Louisiana Steamboat Company" mirror. Love your channel. Keep on keeping on with these interesting explores. The blood could maybe blood from a looter that cut themselves on something while rifling through the house. Could be mouse droppings that got wet and spread out into a dried stain. Could be anything that was wet and dark, I suppose. Do you ever cross reference town historical documents or tax documents out of curiosity? Do you ever ask folks around town about the places you visit or would that blow your cover? Maybe y'all are so busy exploring and editing there isn't much time. Was that a real plant in the window that was still alive? I would have been compelled to water it to give it a chance for a few more years... Anyway, thank you again for such a lovely video! 🏡🏚️🎥📺
