I’ve got a 2019 Camry. Putting a turbo would be pretty sweet but I plan on keeping this car for over 300k miles so no to a turbo as that would wear the engine out faster.

I been wanting to throw one on our '14 Camry, only ours in an Automatic(which worries me a little putting it under a shitton of torque). I don't want it loud or poppin'... I wanna keep it sleepy- VERY sleepy! Anyhow, VERY fucking cool ride! Definitely will check out upcoming and old vids as well as sub- Thanks for the tour, peace Oh, BTW, it DOES sound tight as hell other than the exhaust chattering, but when you get on it a little you can tell it will be pretty damn quick once you get that tune dialed in, alright, later!

I like the looks of it for sure. Clean sleeper for sure. I tuned several vw's over the years and they have the exhaust behind the engine and between the firewall. It's much easier to place a turbo with the exhaust up front Japan style! I'm in south fla as well so I'll keep my eyes open for that black beauty!

What ecu are you using? & how much are they selling the manifold for? You think it would fit an 09 toyota corolla?

Mine does it too it's at the donut gasket exhaust probably got cocked funny now the bolts in the flange are cocked in the flange causing it to rattle because of the springs on the bolts

I've got this same toyota I love it im ganna do alot of mods to it I've got a str8 pipe rn but thus thing looks niceee

I would start by knowing how much your willing to spend and how much power you are going for as well, the mpg i haven’t really calculated it yet but i get gas once a week just about, because i cruise most of the time.

What kind of exhaust are you running? I have a 2AZ-FE with a turbo, the turbo flutter sounds almost exactly like this but I have a stock brz exhaust and honestly I can only hear the motor and can’t really hear anything from the exhaust, I checked for an exhaust leak and everything seems fine, so I’m thinking of getting a catback exhaust and maybe removing the catalytic converter to make it louder

Yeah you can definitely turbo it, the price depends on if you get a custom manifold /inteocoller but depending on the turbo (eBay/ or real brand turbo) will factor as well but if you do get custom manifold /intercooler i would say safly about 4500 with everything

Would I be looking more for Scion tC builds or xB for a Pontiac GT 2azfe? What’re your thoughts I’ve been thinking about keeping it around to start saving for turbo build just not sure if I want to upgrade the internals or not.

I had my tuner install the ecu and had the fabricator make a custom manifold and custom exhaust too

Sounds like your having a voltage drop or something from the battery to the starter. What size wires did you use and where did you mount the battery? What are you tuning with? Are you running a clamp for the maf? I got a boosted 2011 on a aem fic with 750cc injectors at 12lbs with no issues. That’s a big ass turbo btw does it seem like it lags a lot?

thanks i really need help with this, so first off i relocated the battery to the trunk. the wires provided were 0 gauge wire for both negative and positive cables. i am tunung with the greddy e manage blue, and what do you mean by clamp? i have the maf sensor connected to the charge pipe bolted in.

ShaneVlogs a maf clamp is a voltage clamp that limits what voltage the Ecu sees. Air flow through the stock system gives a different reading than a 2.5” smooth charge pipe so you would need to limit the voltage readings through the rpms and into boost in order for your Ecu to not try and take control of your air fuels and cause drivability and stalling issues. I believe the aem fic and haltech units are the only piggybacks with a clamp. As for the not starting I’m gonna put my money on the battery wire setup. If you measure voltage at the starter and maybe even Ecu when cranking I bet your getting a huge drop. Maybe do a video on how you set up the battery/wiring and I can check it out.

I have to see when i get off of work today but i think i found the issue, my begitave terminal on my battery was super loose Ki can wiggle it around and take it on and off with ease , i tightened it all the way before i whent to work this morning and started my car and it stared first try, also I’m hoping that was my problem with the mass airflow sensor voltage as well

The gear box i am using is the stock gearbox from my car the e351 gearbox , and the engine management I’m using is the greddy e-manage blue (soon to be upgrading)

the turbo is facing the wrong way and i'm concern how dose the air even blow in

@Shane vlogs do you know if the 02-06 Camry pets are interchangeable with 02-06 Lexus es330?they are pretty much identical and I’ve read somewhere that some of these Camry/Solara/Avalon have parts that are interchangeable... nice build...

About to reinstall cv axles, touch up some dents/dings, prime bondo spots and shoot it duplicolor rattlecan silver. Then I'm picking up a 1986 300zx z31, the predecessor to my dream car a Z32. Now if I can just learn how to video/edit lol. But I still love what you're doing bro!

I’m about to get an 02 camry with a rebuilt 2az-fe myself so this is some nice inspiration for sure. How reliable is it with the turbo though; I’m going for reliability over power for this car first.

Sickkk , so for me because i cut corners my motor got hurt vey early in the process around 13k miles , but i know people that have there built 2azfe for over 50k miles , as long as it built well and you have a great ecu with a good tune you would be solid with reliability as long as you don’t beat on the car and jsit cruse it and do regular oil changer

I got the V6 and i wanna do that my Brother!

Sad thing is, many ecus use ohm's to calibrate the system, for fuel mixtures and idling vs. WOT. Those wires spliced add resistance that could be misleading the ECM from properly regulating your engine.

I have a stock ecu, but i also have a piggyback ecu wired into the car too help with the tuning , i highly suggest getting a stand-alone ecu for this build it will help with working out alll the bugs, because with the piggy back systems i am always having trouble

One neat trick I learned is having somebody cover the exhaust with something large enough and kinda going a cover up/uncover the exhaust while starting. It honestly sounds like the air/fuel ratio isn't right. It's not creating the combustion that it needs to. I'm not a crazy car guy, but I know that sound. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure.

Sorry for the late response, but i found out that the battery cables i used were not full copper and on top of that i didn’t have a power from the battery straight to the starter so i did get new cables and a power straight to the battery from the starter and it starts perfect now

What clutch kit are you running? Or is it a custom set up?

the coolant tempts are actually running cooler because i have a mishimoto thermostat that opens up cooler than stock , also u have upgraded spal fans that blow twice as much cfm as the stock fans so everything runs cool for sure, and then on top of that i have a large 3 inch intercooler as well that helps the charged air to be cool as well

I have a 2007 toyota camry SE 4 cyl with just a Muffler Delete.. What else should i add or take away to make it somewhat a resemblance of your car sound and speed wise?

Mario 503 it should make about 278 hp or 285 hp and 278 ibs pounds of torque. Since it’s a bolt-on turbo

i suggest getting a good quality brand such as BorgWarner or precision turbo or even garret turbo for a t3 style turbo that is small and will fit good in the engine bay , also the benefit to having a t3 turbo the spool is a lot quicker

For a carolla I’m not sure , look up to see what exaust they have for them and also i would get one that is catless (if you don’t live in California)

Standard original block (is this the 2AZ-FE with the oil squirters), wiseco rods, molnar pistons (why not molnar rods?), double waste gate, huge turbo (what level boost are you doing?), original radiator (seems to tolerate the extra heat), nice header (where from?), no mention of bigger head bolts, no mention of bigger injectors and fuel pump. Great sound, many will copy if you give specifications.

Yes I’m sorry i didn’t mention that , but this is the original 2azfe (from a Camry has no oil squirters) wiseco pistons, molnar rods, double tial 44 wastegates, upgraded arp head studs and main studs , yes the stock radiator does work but i have to high cam spal fans that blow a lot more air than stock fans. 550cc injectors upgraded .20 over cometic head gasket

@@ShaneVlogss Great work, thanks for the info, I wonder how much the squirters manage to cool pistons: cant find data on that. Better fans, clever move, I was looking for a multi-row radiator but cant find one. The 0.2 over spec head gasket reduces the compression ratio, I assume, to accomodate boost. These engines seem underrated by modders, and have high HP with low weight, but there seems to be no consensus on the upper HP limit: some say 400. Lol, so many questions....its a great project. Was the tune tricky, what is the chance of detonation, what octane can you get for it.

I wanna add a turbo to my 05 v6 Camry and customize it but idk where to start

I would say start off by building the motor first so that the pistons and rods can handle the power
