maybe its because i am a younger brother but i think he could have done better with verse 2. in the other translations ive seen its ed directly talking to his brother and wondering why he stays loyal after all hes put them through. In caleb's version its about how ed puts so much on himself and how much pain hes in because of it.

Gosh I usually don't attach to english covers and prefers pure japanese text but this one was so good *-* The voice of course, but I - to my biggest surprise - thought the english lyrics actually brought a plus!

That's actually how I learned of Caleb too! So when I came from the brilliantly hilarious kind of song that that was to find all of the Metal, anime/game soundtrack, Disney, etc. song covers that he did, I was kind of quite surprised, but pleasantly so.😻💖 And now I'm completely addicted to Calebs songs and covers! And Caleb himself is awesome! I love finding people who cover anime/videogame/fandom music, and who also cover them *_WELL_* and have such amazing talent like Caleb, so finding that he did, and that he had such a wonderful and talent was like stumbling on a virtual treasure😄😊😻🌟

There are so many great covers of this song out there, but I feel like I hear the right pitch, power, and sense of desperate searching in your performance/translation of the lyrics that was in the original. I can't believe I only just now found this video. It's so good. I've seen other English covers of this song and was less than impressed with their translations and tempo, but you managed to make the lyrics fit beautifully without needing to force it by drawing out syllables or mashing words together and making it sound awkward. Excellent job! You've definitely passed your annual state alchemist assessment with flying colors.

This is the only English version of an OP that doesn’t make my ears bleed. Great voice btw

The lyrics in the description are messed up. The (I'm on my way)s and (This is my wish)es are swapped around in some places, and completely absent in others.

Caleb, for 3 whole days, 12 hours each day, I have played you and Jonathan's videos back to back while studying for my Groundwater midterm. I have no idea how that translates to your ad revenue but I know its still not enough. You two are by far my favorite cover artists. Please keep up the good work. You and Young have allowed me to survive studying ironically the dryest class of my semester.

I always put off these videos for one reason. That once I start I never stop until I've heard all of those openings again.
