Full Tour of The Ghost Town I Live In! (Cerro Gordo)

For the past two years I've been working on the property almost every day and drinking LMNT throughout it all to stay hydrated. They've been a great supporter of the town and I hope you'll grab some for free at drinklmnt.com/brent !
I hope that many of you all coming over from Matt at Demolition Ranch enjoy this look around this old mining town! There's a lot more about renovations and explorations around the town if you check the rest of the videos here!
Thank you all so so much for all the support over the years. There's a lot more to come!

Hotel Update!! I realized I didn't show the hotel. The first span of the basement block is up and we've been waiting on a permit for a while now. Hopefully that comes in this week and we will start rocking and rolling ASAP. The crews are ready, just need the go ahead. That might include another visit from some characters that have helped a lot in the past! As soon as the permit is in, I'll post a big update just about the hotel. We're getting close!!

I have done a lot of repairs / restoration in the many years that l have lived here with my 3 kids, and am proud of what l have achieved, but the fact that you are doing the same to an entire town blows my mind. But as you got used to it and began to embrace it, more so now it seems it's became a positive aspect. Everyone is really embracing the evolution of Cerro Gordo and what you can really do and achieve with the place. I'm sure by the end of your time there it will become just as big of the part of the story as its past is. It has been awhile. Thinking back to when you first started this channel you've sure come a long way. Good job honey! The only potential obstacle i see to your plans is water availability. At one time it supported a large community so the land is capable. Maybe you can find someone well educated in permaculture practices that can resolve or mitigate the lack of fresh water. I've seen it used on completely infertile land and within a couple of years the place was green, springs being regenerated, seasonal streams becoming year round ones. Maybe such a person watches your show and would be willing to donate those services.

WOW Brent I haven't watched your videos in some time and the difference to the Cerro Gordo is quite amazing. I love how you had faith in yourself to enable your visions to come back to life. I look foreward to the day you build your hideaway cottage on the other side of the mountain with that beautiful view. You are such an inspiration to all whom follow your videos and lifestyle. 2 years has gone so quickly, imagine what the town will look like in the decades to come. You are one amazing individual and best of luck to you and all your helpers. Your preservation of history, should indeed be universally recognised.

What a fascinating and historic place Cerro Gordo is, and to see it come to life again is so inspiring. I'm sure that the spirits that live there with you are as happy as they can be with you and what you have accomplished there. Also, you were my first Covid KZread obsession. I wowed in the mine and wept with you over the fire, and videos like this show how far both you and Cerro Gordo have grown in the past two years. Yet another fantastic video. ❤️ Lots of changes but it is clear to see how much progress you have made. Kudos to your passion and effort to get Cerro Gordo back in shape. I love the Gordon house, and even though I realize why his wife might not have wanted to stay in the house that Gordon built for her, I can imagine his disappointment when she did not. I think the Gordon house is my favorite one. Everything is looking amazing. I noticed you didn't show much about the hotel, but I guess that is a project that you will update us on in another video. Thank you, Brent, for another brilliant video. Cerro Gordo is thriving and I cannot wait to visit it one day. Until next time. take care.
