Excellent video champs. This proves that there's heaps more to Samui than the usual well known places that most tourists visit there. Looking forward to all the upcoming videos promoting an island which many may otherwise think and say is way too commercialised. That’s a good good question! I’d say most of it is reasonable. It’s like demand and supply. When a lot of people want something, price goes up. Though on the flip side the people who used to visit those place, feel like they are now getting ripped off. There are a lot of positive things coming out of tourism but also some negatives 😅 also for the local community tourism is not always positive, but that’s another story for maybe later

My personal opinion is that Koh Samui is so much more beautiful than Phuket - loved it there. Obviously my favourite region of Thailand has to be Krabi (Railey, Ao Nang, Phi Phi Islands, Koh Lanta, Koh Yao Noi) and Koh Lipe but Koh Samui is up there. After KL in Malaysia, Bangkok is my 2nd favourite city. Koh Samui is less busier than Phuket and I just love this island

Thanks! We had a great time making it :D The prices of the flights where just too expensive. Ze vragen zo 400 euro voor een retourtje BKK met bagage. En, we hebben de tijd :)

I like your videos of Thailand and Vietnam but i wish you'd stop complaining about it being too touristy,all the best places in the world are touristy because everyone want to see them and both of you are tourists making it too touristy!!!

Thanks for taking the time to type this. Through the videos I publish I’d like to show what the places are like. So whoever wants to visit get an idea what the places are like. I think it can help the people appreciate the place better if they know what to expect. I’m not just complaining, sorry it seems that way. For instance, I also mention at Bang Po Beach that it’s less touristic or countless other beautiful destinations in SEA where we’ve been where I do not “complain”. Anyway I hope you can continue watching some of the content I make and I’ll think of you when I’m in a very touristic place :)

That part of the world has so many islands and hidden gems that there are many areas without a large number of tourists.

KOH SAMUI is a huge ripoff, I won't ever return, thamsews aree 10X Chiang Mai, insanity, flights on the only airline are 3X the normal cost of airfare in Thailand, restaurants are insanely overpriced in KOH SAMUI, Never again, spent the last 2 winters in Hua Hin, at a fraction of the cost. KOH SAMUI does have beautiful beaches, but at a ridiculous cost, Hua Hin is perfectly fine, not the best water though, everything else is great in Hua Hin. The only other issue with Hua Hin is getting to the airport in BKK, $50 USD each way for an SUV, but that is manageable!!! Many Russians in KOH SAMUI too, just like Pattaya and Phuket

@@Chai_Travel I was on Koh Samui for two weeks, I’ve been all over Thailand and never been ripped off more than Koh Samui, why are the Thomsawes 10X Chaing Mai or Hua Hin?

@@kleerogers it’s definitely more expensive. I guess that’s part of the tourism industry, Unfortunately. Luckily there is Hua Hin 🤣👍

That's your opinion, fine. Not everyone is looking for the cheapest option. Hua Hin is boring compared to the islands in my opinion.
