    Thank you so much for making this video, it was exactly what I needed! We are getting our first RV next month and thinking about driving from Portland to Phoenix (and back) to visit family over winter break. I wasn’t sure it would be doable with the passes in winter, or where we would be able to stay along the way. You answered ALL the questions I had! Thanks again!

    Another great, informative video. Still doing research before purchasing a small tt. Living on the road travel videos from you AND others is beginning to convince me that it's a LOT of work to live this lifestyle. Do you ever want to "zone out" and just relax???

  • @Wildonthego

    @Wildonthego

    Thank you very much, Dusty. It's a personal preference regarding the level of activity or busyness. Some prefer to lounge around and other would rather keep moving - and there's a mixture of the two at all points in between. In this respect, it's not unlike other forms of living. As you know, we all have our intentions and interests. We find ourselves relaxing at times, but in all honesty we do keep ourselves quite busy - and that's mostly by way of our nature. Thanks for watching and taking the time to write such good and interesting comments.

    A note on scorpions and snakes. Both are nocturnal critters. Scorpions are dangerous only if you step on them or if you put your fingers into a place you can't see. Rattlesnakes survive only in a narrow temperature range. From maybe 65 to 75 degrees. After that, they have to find shade or go into the rocks. So on a cool day, or a warmish/hot day, you won't see any snakes. Snakes aren't territorial so given the chance, they'll get out of sight when they feel you coming.... Snakebites generally happen to a specific demographic. If you aren't a male between the ages of 16 and 42 who gets drunk and crazy and smokes weed and acts stupid, you'll never get bit by a rattler.

    I (Bernie) took a scorpion bite to the elbow one time (same as stepping on one). It hurt, but nearly as bad as the black widow bites I've had. We've (thankfully) haven't been bitten by a rattlesnake. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Hi guy's love your video's. We are almost neighbor's(Eugene). We roll a 27' class C with a ranger pull truck. Have you tried hwy 58 to 97 into Reno then the east side of the Sierra Nevada's down thru Vegas? Very scenic. End up anywhere in the desert from a lot of different path's. Keep rolling........Pete&Karla Vagabonds

    siskiyou pass on I5, is the highest point of I 5 in north America. just watch out for the down grade northbound. stay out of the truck parking areas. they must stop by law, and need a place to rest. a rv can park almost anyplace.

    Awesome information! Thinking of getting into full time RVing and I noticed in the video that the RV is being towed by a SRW (single rear wheel) Ram truck. Does anyone have any advice on the best SRW truck to tow a 40 foot 5th Wheel (approx. 13k lbs)?

    Hi I enjoy your video's. An some of the information that you put out.We just move up to Oregon. From San Diego. CA.Have been full time for 2 years.I have a 44ft. 5th wheel toy hauler. I all so have a 3500 Ram. With the Cummins in it.I put a 50 gallon fuel tank In the bed of the truck.so now we have 85 gallons.it is nice when we are on long trips.we get any where from 10 to 12 mpg. Pulling our trailer.it gives us the option on where we won't to fuel.

    Hey thanks for the great vids, my question is in the case were the rv owner/employees are guiding you into a spot and damages occur who is liable. Thanks

  • @Wildonthego

    @Wildonthego

    You're welcome. We're glad you're enjoying our videos. Liability is all over the place, depending on circumstances and location. In general, the driver is responsible for running into things - but there are exceptions (again depending ...). Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • @Wildonthego
