I’m with Phill on the laundry. It’s all sappy and mushy but 10 minutes from now you’ll never remember the $60.00. However, 10 years from now you’ll remember that bakery. Always part with the cash if it gives you more experiences and time together.

You guys are brave souls using a laundromat. Safer to wait until you can use your own W/D. Nothing like a great bakery ❤️
Adam said it perfectly - $60 for a memory is always worth it! Although it’s Stacy’s money management that keeps you on track so you can afford to splurge like that occasionally. ♥️

True that!! Balance!
As almost full time RVers (travel 6 months of the year) we know about the laundry dilemma. We have a class A without the washer and dryer. (our choice). We do laundry every 2 weeks about 3 or 4 loads. If we find a good laundry mat with lots of washer and dryers only takes about 2 hours and costs about $10 to $15. We bring a good book to read or chat with other laundry cleaning people. Campgrounds or RV parks can be tough when they only have 2 or 3 washers and dryers. But $60 to have laundry done? Wow! Very cute that Phil thinks it was worth it but Stacey didn’t. Love Mammoth! Schats is fantastic! You should check out Glass Creek Campground about 8 miles north of Mammoth, 2 miles north of the rest area that has a dump and water, trash and bathrooms. Glass Creek is free! Big area, some large spaces. BTW, no, RVing is never boring!🤣 👍😁
“Do we push our luck or wait till Wednesday “ I knew what Phil’s answer was before he did. Mr. play it safe!

Stacy - on laundry costs - $60 per load for 3-hours equals $20 per hour, or $10 per hour per person. Y’all are definitely worth that! Will you do that every week? Of course not - but when you’re in such a scenic place it makes perfectly good sense to pay for that service 4-5 times each year. We used that same financial stubbornness so we could retire in our mid-50s and have a similar problem breaking out of the old way of doing things. We have to remind ourselves: It’s no longer a financial equation, it’s about how you want to spend the time you have. Great video - in our travels, often the most boring days are the best days.
My bf and i live in a 5th wheel trailer and we use portable sewer tanks and water tanks so we dont have to hook up the trailer everytime we need to dump and fill. Its super nice.
You made the right decision…have someone else do the laundry…I’m with Phil! Definitely the way to go…and just like your RV when you get to the fueling station…Fill it up. You can’t take money with you. Safe travels…great video!
When I work out of town I get full service laundry done all the time...one big thing is it saves you a lot of time..especially if you working 6 or 7 days a week
So glad that you got your jeep fixed It is always tough when you're on the road to work the logistics out and get things done. But you did it. Thank you for the video, safe travels. ☀️🌲
Sorry Phil, I'm on Stacy's side, I would be happy to stare lovingly into my husband's eyes; over a clean pile of laundry while he helps me fold it! Haha

Definitely worth having your sheets done for you at the laundry mat! We also have not used Tide since 1989 for similar reasons. No one in our immediate family does either. You’re not alone on skin problems from that detergent. It’s nice we have choices so people can get whatever detergent works for them. Glad you had a fun day, got your car back and are off for new adventures! Love the new shirts and colors. Nice job. All the best to you both. Allison
Love watching your videos! Wow... You two have been on the road for a while!

I could see using the 60.00 laundry service. This past summer it cost us about 25.00 for 4 loads washed and dried. I got to sit there at the camp laundry watching videos while the machines were running. The Jeep looks great.

I agree with Phil… Get your laundry done and enjoy the day! You earn it!
My better half and I discuss often the “value of our time”. So I agree $60 for 4 hours…is your time worth more than $6/hour? (2 people x 4 hours). Sometimes we get to make that choice!
Really enjoy you guys thanks for all you share.

When my hubby was in Iraq there were days where I couldn't even fathom doing laundry. So I did wash and fold. It was a blessing. But it's not a weekly thing for us. It's a treat.
I truly loved this video.... Glad the jeep got fixed... And yes, we are getting one of those antenna bars.......
Very informative video, thank you.
Yes I agree with Phil
Paying 60 for a laundry service is a worthwhile splurge once in a while, you made the best of it and had a great date day.

I figured about $60 for less than that. I think paying per pound to have someone do it for you, is a good deal if you have only one load and would just be sitting there most of the time.
I’m with Stacy!!
Stacy, you’re on the right track having the laundry done and enjoying the day; you just need to do it on “regular” laundry day when it’s not such a “heavy” load.
Worth it to have someone else do the laundry 😀. Great video as usual!
Haircut Day! I already mentioned that when it gets long I feel like a redheaded Q-Tip (now grey). I don't get the ears lowered, I just pop into the barber shop on the NAF here and get the Grecian Formula Haircut. Don't hide the grey, cut it off. Same haircut since 1986 and I've been retired for the last 18 years. Someday I hope to "See you on the road." Semper Fortis / Semper Fi. I'm catching up so keep those videos coming.

I lower my ears every 2 weeks! Cut the grey out I tell them!
I'm with Phil.Sometimes you just gotta cut loose!
I have to say I agree with Stacy. $60 for laundry… while I prefer to use laundry in my rig when I do need to get the laundromat I do all the loads at one time. I can get it all washed, dried and folded in less than 90 minutes.
Phil all the way on the laundry. Be safe and enjoy your journey
There’s a full service laundry on the south end of Cocoa Beach, FL to we used while camped at Jetty Park Campground, Cape Canaveral. Worth every penny to be able to spend our time doing something else.

I'm with Team Stacy. I've only paid for laundry once in my life & it was 3 sol in Cusco Peru. After paying the 3 sol I left the clean clothes behind for the lady that cleaned my room for 18 days. I would have gone to the bakery, packed a picnic lunch & eaten while doing the laundry. Love the new gear & would want a R.E.D. one ~ FUN video!
What a coincidence... I hurt my right knee on August 4th and I have been sitting ever since too. I'm also with Phil. Even though Stacy is a very lovely lady; 60.00 is too much money to pay for laundry just to spend more time looking into her eyes. Nothing personal Stacy... I'm glad that the SUV is repaired. Safe travels!
Purchased my new 'Today is Someday' jersey this morning. Can't wait to get it!

We dream of Shats bakery. We went there a few years ago while visiting Yosemite. It is so good!! Mammoth mountain is such a beautiful area. We took a few hikes while we were there. I am excited to go back.
An interesting video. Lol a person always worries about tank levels :-) I'd love to learn more about your antenna. Haha love the looks of those pastries. Shirts look great! Laundry is great once in a while ;-)
I can’t believe I found someone else that is allergic to tide. What a great video.
I recognize that gas station. I have eaten there myself. Love that bakery too.
Your antenna, that's good to know. The one factor standing in m y way to full timing is reliable internet with download capacity in excess of 20mbps. It's mandatory for my work. I hope advances in access and speed continues to improve. Happy travels!
Let them do it! Always! I’m with Phil
We have had our laundry done one time but never again. We now have a stackable W&D with 105 gal. fresh water and 60 gal. grey tank so we can do multiple loads at a time. Some areas we've been in allow dumping of grey water onto the ground. I believe it was in WV we were told we could dump into a ditch beside the road. My dad's attitude was it's only illegal if you get caught.😲 I don't agree!
Yes I’d pay. We like getting to a laundromat and grab 4-5 machines running at the same time. Makes it faster.
Great Tshirt designs and looks like a good fit too. Sorry about the window in your jeep! The mega antenna you have looks like one on a local news reporter truck

So many, many years ago we were staying in Mammoth and I took my then 10(?) year old son mountain biking. We took the lift to the top of the mountain and then rode all the way back into town. Incredible; you should do it! My hands were so sore for days from grabbing the brakes...

So waiting to start our RVing adventures. Also my wife's family is near Mamoth Lakes and my mother in law used to work at the ski resort. I am retired Navy and my wife is a Navy vet.
Be thankful for the break of laundry day! One in awhile it is great to pay for a service you don’t have to do. 😀 Just enjoy the break.
Aug filming? It Nov 13th now after your post 8 hours ago. 🤷♀️ I so enjoy your content! And the quick change on Phil was funny! Love the shirts and choices. GO NAVY!
I ordered my sweatshirt today!! I’m so excited to get it! There are 2 reasons. The first of course is because it’s one of yours. The second reason is because I am retiring on December 17th and I want to wear it to the office on my last day! The “Today is Someday” is perfect! I’m hoping I get it in time to wear! Cross your fingers…. And thank you for your wonderful videos and for taking me along on your adventures!

@@todayissomeday thank you. It’s been a long time coming. Hopefully, our camping trips can now be farther and longer!
Love having them do my laundry! My gals will do a full sea bag for less than $50 AND all button down shirts (aloha kind too) come back on hangers! Drop off Monday. Pick up Wednesday.
Phil, I like you hate going over 14 days for hair cuts. Luckily, Alice has been cutting my hair for about 30 years now so making an appointment is pretty easy.
Oh wow Phil I thought Fabian was bad with is hair cut. every 2 weeks or 14 days. We love the new shirts. Happy your car back in peace. Thinking about the same internet booster so Thank You for sharing.
I would totally let someone else do my laundry. But I've spent 6+ hrs doing laundry when camping, so it is totally worth it to me.
Yeah you went to my home town. Born and raised in Mammoth. Still looks the same.
Just ordered one of the new shirts. Love them!

I knew where you were when seeing the first shots on your video. We have been to Mammoth lakes many times. Love Schats bakery. Thanks for the tip!
The biggest problem with public laundry: is that the previous "soap" is always left over in the dispenser, unless someone pulls it out to clean. Can be done, most attendants don't bother. So I hope for your sensative skins' sake you won't have an issue. .. Great new shirts.

It's for this exact reason I'm 100% sure that every laundromat washer was cleaner after I used it than it was when I first walked up to it!
GOOD CALL PHIL, Grab your bike and get going!
I was so glad to hear about the water...it's my one concern about boondocking! However...sorry Phil, I'm not gonna pay $60 for laundry! LOL! We can do the laundry then celebrate it by exploring the town. LOL! I have no idea where you are now or what your plans are but IF you are coming anywhere near Monterey you need to go to the Pacific Grove Butterfly Grove and see the Monarch Butterfly migration! Usually it's not high numbers this time of year (early in the season) but we are having GREAT numbers this year! Something to experience.
Great video. From a guys point of view I say $60 well spent! Now of course we have washer and dryer in our class A so we just wait until we are at a campground to do laundry.
I am with you Stacy - I am allergic to Tide. Grew up with my mom using - never a problem. But as an adult I developed allergy to it. I have to use the free and clear because I also can't take the smells. I have towels on my seats. So glad I did because when a rock went through the driver's side window from lawnmower most of the glass was on it. Easier to clean up.

We have camped at “Big Bend” campground, which is not far from you. Have used that water hole for water for over 40 years and never hooked up the water filter and the water was GREAT! Go see Big Bend…excellent fishing but don’t take the rv there cuz the road is narrow and winds a lot.
Worth it
Drop it off and run. Nothing better than a little time together to go out and about.
Hi, your in my favorite area, when I was alot younger, we used to fly fish the Owen River, Pleasant Valley campground, and Their some hot springs around that are too, wish I was there, that Bakery is a must stop place, been going there since the 80s, if your going south, Lone Pine Is a favorite place to, lots to see, go to the museum, it's very interesting, if you Like that kinda stuff...Ozarks is where we live now, a whole different world...
RE: paying to have the laundry done. We are full timers and I would prefer to pay a laundromat attendant to wash/dry/fold my laundry while we go do something fun. Normally we can find a laundry that will do the wash for less than $2/pound. A regular washing machine holds 10 pounds and cost $2.50 to run the commercial dryer will cost you another dollar. So $0.35 a pound goes into the machine.
I agree with phill it’s well worth the price so you can go exploring
MIGHTY LIKE A BRONCO- GO TEAM... better days are ahead I am sure!
I would definitely do my own laundry. I have no problem sitting silent with nothing to do for a couple of hours. 😁
YES on the laundry.
Stacy said, “Phil is messing with his pole.” 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
It’s cute you call them “laundry mats” (so did a couple of commenters)…up here we call them “laundermats”. Back in the early 80s as a young broke couple we’d unscrew the agitators & collect the coins that collect under them. Not sure the new washers are able to do that. Of course it was 50cents a wash load & 25cents to dry. Last big trip we paid a hefty $3.00/load to wash! That was 2016 in a New Brunswick Provincial park. Just thankful there ware washers & dryers after a week on the road & 3 more to go.
Great video...I like to see what full timing is really like. ( Not all fun and exciting)...
