Hi Katie and Paul, I know I’ve been subscribed since the start and I’ve tuned in to the odd episode but last week we bought a little caravan. Nothing as flash as your home away from home but we’re starting off small and planning on a bigger one for the bigger trips in a couple of years. Thank you 😊 we primarily use a DJI Mini Pro 3, this is light weight, beautiful capture quality and has the capability to shoot vertical and landscape at the click of a button (while in flight) - this means it can save time in post production for socials (although you do end up shooting more which means editing more 😅) enjoy the journey and see you out there soon 😎🏕️

A much simpler way, when you are reversing, to remember how to make the item you are towing move in a given direction, is grip the BOTTOM of the steering wheel and turn it in the direction you wish the trailer to move. If you are holding the TOP of the wheel you have you turn in the OPPOSITE direction, so GRIP AT THE BOTTOM.

Best to start at the beginning, I guess. Great video with lots of fun. Best wishes from Bangkok.

Have just found your channel and have started the binge watch! My husband is a Queenslander (Sunshine coast) but now lives in NZ (I'm a kiwi). We have just bought a campervan which is currently being fitted out for us so very excited! We won't be full time van life though until our girls are finished school at least (6 years to go!!). In the interim I'll be living the dream through other's channels. Looking forward to watching more.

I've just started watching your adventures Paul and Katie. What a legend the little guy Jasper is. I also watched a later episode first, you were travelling across the Nullabor in another Apollo van a Windsor, then we watched coming home from Tassie with the Coromal. I've now start from the beginning and really looking forward to every episode. We have an old poptop van but ordered a new van last year. Helen and I are at the other end of your life cycle but will head off for a lap in 2024. A bit personal, but did you rent your house or sell. We will have a family member move into our house for our travels.

We’ve only just found your channel today and have been watching episode after episode. Absolutely love it! So well done. We will be setting off at the beginning of next year but we still don’t have any real itinerary. We’re setting off from Sydney and heading north. Did you book in to parks ahead of leaving or have you taken chances on last minute bookings? What about school holidays...should we book ahead for those times or maybe go inland a bit to less populated type parks. Any info greatly appreciated. Jasper is simply gorgeous by the way!

You are spot on Jo- generally we try to avoid school hold and as you suggest inland or family/friends driveway is a great option during these times! We book occasionally ahead about 2 weeks at most 😊👍

We watch your show again and now seen you've been thought how to fly a drone so I might go to an aero club and do the same with my newly purchased drone

Your channel just popped up on my page today cause caravanning channel are one of my main views, you say you are new to caravanning but you don't seem to be new to cameras, You look like you have been on tv shows or something before. Even from the first episode the channel looks semi professional. My family of the same size(3) have all the gear now and thinking of starting a channel but this editing bit seems pretty difficult.

You are correct 😊👍 we have worked previously in tv production and the editing is certainly an ongoing challenge - I spend between 12-20hours per week bringing each weekly episode to KZread - fortunately I love this part of the process! All the best and the best advice for channel content I have is just make a start - it will all fall in to place as you go 👍

Im doing the same as you here in the US, i just bought a new Toyota Tacoma (the USA version on the Hillix) Also to go with it we got a new caravan (starcraft by Jayco , about the same as yours in the US version... it is so fun to see how much the rigs are alike and how there different! I did add lots of solar and a generator for the A/C.

At 10.42 that put the Coromal Princeton out of the running. The Coromals are heavy as and that Hilux has a terrible towing capacity.

Don't talk about it, do it. I have known so many who had wonderful dreams for when they retired and sadly couples didn't both survived to get there. Australia is a wonderful country and well worth the adventure.

Question 1: What is the list of life line? (it will be interesting to know for all this preparation)- ??

I think you have very good material. As a first time viewer I find it difficult to find episodes in order. Eg Season 1 Episode 3 was difficult to find on Playlists. One can easily see Season 1 but the episode numbers are hidden by the time length of the video. Perhaps, if you make it easier to find episodes and work out a method whereby seen videos are indicated. If other folk can do it so can you. People become frustrated if they have to spend time searching for what they want. Perhaps that's a reason you have so few followers. You should have a LOT more. Bill.

Just started watching your channel. For the life of me, I cant understand the vehicle choice, considering the ATM of the Coromal 696 being 20kgs under 3T. Your HiLux has a poor payload and a rated towing capacity of only 3200kgs. Leaves you no room to take any spare undies.

Gee it must be good to buy a new vehicle and a caravan at your ages.im 56 and have to wait for actual retirement at 60 before I can afford it.i have been my job for 40 years.and not in a office.people don't over produce your self .some people have to work all there life to do what your doing.

No we do not but are working on an upcoming vid that will take us through the process as we are about to commence season 3 - and any changes we’ll need to address.... we are generally up to 3 weeks behind in footage release...
