    No lift shift feature is very useful, especially for a boosted setup. It functions exactly the same as a regular rev limiter except when you have the clutch in, throttle above 80% and you are going more than 2 mph it will use whatever value you enter into the cell for full throttle shift. I picked up a solid .2 off my 1/4 mile ET using this feature vs letting off to shift during runs, so it definitely makes a difference.

    that's awesome I'm glad to hear some feedback of actual track times ! are you turbo? I feel this will help turbo setups more than anything, the throttle body stays open so no boost pressure is lost through the blowoff valve, for my supercharged setup I feel like it adds a little lag

    Sounds like your running an older style "race" calibration, they dont have access to these features. Hondata switched over to "hybrid" style calibrations in like 2012 or something to make it so your oil life percentage works as normal again

    The more important thing to notice is the boost gauge from the 2:35 mark, boost doesn't drop in between shifts.

  • @NAUS2K

    @NAUS2K

    8 жыл бұрын

    nailed it, the throttle body is still staying open and boost never drops, just fuel is cut. I still feel that it really doesn't help much though on this car since its supercharged, however on a turbo car that is an incredible advantage

    Let me get this straight. This tech would allow someone disabled like me, to be able to shift without having to physically press down on the clutch pedal, is that right? Does this work at any RPM for normal driving or it has to be near redline? If this can be used for normal shifting, this would be the answer to my prayers and I could finally get me an MT Si rather than an automatic. :)

  • @NAUS2K

    @NAUS2K

    8 жыл бұрын

    Sorry man you still have to push the clutch pedal. This feature just allows you to keep the throttle pedal to the floor between shifts without causing harm to your drivetrain. The engine cuts fuel once it senses the clutch pedal is pressed down, and gives fuel back when it senses the clutch pedal is fully raised. I have seen some cars before with custom hand clutch setups, definitely doable. There are many badass cars though nowadays with very good automatic transmissions that shift like manuals with the paddle shifters, so you are in luck!

    What's gonna happen is your gonna burn the shit out of your clutch.

  • @NAUS2K

    @NAUS2K

    7 жыл бұрын

    that's what is features prevents, if you were to powershift without this feature your clutch would eventually burn out, with this feature the fuel is cut to your engine until your clutch is fully released in the next gear

    It's obviously not gonna be the same as matching the revs perfectly but it's better than power shifting and having the revs jump up to 8 when your shifting.

    if you're going to be lazy and relay on a computer to shift. Just get a car with pedal shifters. just wondering .

    takes all the fun away. Just like in F1... the start use to be all driving skills, till they computerized the launch... i guess it's more fun.

    he has been shifting the whole time, the computer does not help him to shift, he still did the shifting himself. Computer is only allowing for flat foot shifting, his right foot is always flooring the gas pedal during the shift

    It's useful in turbo cars. Na, not so much. Your shifting is too slow anyway to make it useful. Bang gears son.

    I was shifting slow to demonstrate the feature lol. And yes you're correct, Its only useful for a turbo car, NA and supercharged cars dont benefit at all. I haven't used this feature since.
