I wasted my money on this tank lol

with the current state of the game's economy in mind, I would definitely get the T55AM ove the Turms. Even if the T72 has a better RP boost modifier, the playstyle you need in it will rarely be as profitable as the one you can adopt in the T55. That is, sniping vs brawling. I cant explain what really happened since that economy update, but even with over 5 kills I barely get 50% of what I was getting before, while with 1-2 kills and 1-2 caps I get more than that. I had a game with 4 kills in the Turms and 2 caps and got 19K RP and 100K SL, meanwhile in the same tank but 6 kills and no caps I only got 8K RP and 40K SL. It has something to do with activity time.

They reduced RP gain for tanks during the play test. They were on par with air RB pre (economy) change. Then reduced. During this economy change, everything was reduced. Their reason was poor, reality is it gets people to not only buy premium and premium vehicles, it FINALLY gets people to spend GE on RP

6:27 I agree 100%, speaking from experience. Also i'd like to add something: One major plus of the T55-AM1 compared to the T-72 Turms is that grinding towards a full 8.3 lineup takes way, way less time and especially SL than grinding all the way up to a full 9.7 lineup. If you're only at rank 3 you'll be one-spawning for a year before you have another 9.7 vehicle. I was at rank 3, 5.3 br when i bought the T55-AM1. In the beginning i used scouts in the lineup with it to earn points from cover and help my team after i died in the T-55. I used the rank 2 T-50 and rank 3 PT-76 for that purpose. After i unlocked the BMP-1 i used that instead of the T-50. This speeded up grinding to 8.3/8.7 br tremendously, i reached it within 3 months of average gametime. Applying this strategy at 9.7 br is almost useless because thermal vision is practically standard at 9.7 meaning that anybody with thermals will kill you before you even manage to spot>scout an enemy. I bought the T55-AM1 when it was still at 8.7 br and 9 out of 10 times i still use it at 8.7 with the BMD-4 and BMP-2M. I bought it for the full price and have 0 regret, i still enjoy it very much and use it very often. Basically i would only recommend the Turms if you already researched atleast the entire rank 5. I don't even use it at top tier because the T80's have way better mobility (3x faster in reverse) and the T72B3 has a way better turret traverse/armor/apfsds/engine than the Turms has. Also at 9.3/9.7 br games are not enjoyable to play because usually atleast half the team leaves after 1 death because they have no backup vehicles for their T-72 Turms/XM1/Leopard 2 Pt14/16.

@@reedman0780 I also in the 7.3 with BMP 1 and t 54. But I stopped grinding USSR because all vehicles are same beyond 7.3. Then I started Germany(It sucks🤣) and USA to get Tiger and Sherman jumbo. I have spent 5 months to reach 7.3 ussr and took 2 months to reach 7.3 in usa and germany. When I brought AVRE I was in rank 3 British within one day. Premium time is so powerfull. Try buying a premium in a different nation.

wait did you just play the t55 all day long or did you play some ww2 cussss you missed out on a lot (stomping on panzers in t34 and deleting tanks in is2 and so on) you missed the funnest part :(

When the obj 279 was at 8.3, combining it with this tank was one of the best 1-2 tank combos available

@@RedVRCC (but let's be real the most busted Russian tank is the bmd-4, I want it so bad and I can only imagine the chaos I would cause with it as I've gotten an 18 kill game in the BMP 3.)

The apcbc is what made this tank a beast, especially with the tam spam german had, just load apcbc unless you need to snipe, it can one shot pretty much everything it face, even in uptier if you know where to shoot

8.3 is a very naughty br for this beast. I always feel devilish using it. My favorite ammo load is a full load, around 8 darts, 6-8 smoke, 6 aphe, and the rest atgms

I don't own this but i played the T55A when it was the same BR as this. I had APHE, Sabot, some ATGMs and 1 smoke shell in. APHE is not be underestimated. Most enemies you come across you will be able to easily kill using the stabiliser

I bought this a while ago. I also got the turms during a sale once. Tbh I love the am1 so much better. Such a great variety of ammo types and the armor actually sometimes works at its own br. The fact it gets APHE is incredible given how rare it is at that tier. A lot of things are lightly armored and the APHE can work wonders. I usually bring a majority of APHE with a few APFSDS and ATGMs.

Man, you've been popping off as of late, one video after another! And they're all good quality!

I think this is a better pick than the T-72AV. When you get into the 9.7 range, theres so much more random crap that will kill you. You’d likely have better matches more often with this as it’s more forgiving, and therefore it should be a better grinder.

Dude I really enjoy the T55AM1, Russian 8.3 tanks are so fun and strong. T62 and T55A are fun to play with it. Also like the T10M heavy. Just got the IT1 which is fun lol

It's better for grinding vs turns. a fantastic tank all around . The best premium I've purchased. I just play it with the atgm missle and its very effective at it's br

Literally watching at 3AM with 50$. Was about to purchase T-72, but maybe it isnt for me.

The T-72 is a good tank, but it can be EXTREMELY annoying to use, largely because a large chunk of your teammates will also use the Turms, and they'll leave after a single death because they have nothing else in their lineup. The AM-1 is much more fun and well balanced, as well, in my opinion.

I dislike it. Its not meta. Most maps are small and/or urban based, where you stand no chance against nato and other nations tanks.I die so often in that tank due to the slow turret and hull traverse, also due to the reverse. Russian tanks with armor barely can compensate for this drawback, but turms has no armor on such maps.

I'd say Yes. i just bought it and it is Amazing. The Extra armor really helps. you can take a few rounds from Chemical rounds. but APFSDS will still go thru like a hot knife thru butter. So dont expect to survive them. And for some reason. I've been kicked up 1.0 BR To 9.3 for some reason... and i had only the T-55AM-1 and the Object 120

The only question i have now: Witch one is better, the "Type-69 II G" or "T-55AM-1" ? Do to same platform, same BR, but different upgrades. Anyway; I brought this on the now going summer sale, since i am at 8.3 (without the event+premium vehicles), and so far it is a "positive disappointment" . I was expecting to be poor performer and outdated, but its doing surprisingly well, and since most gold noobs are now on 9.7-10.0, i get a lot of 7.7-8.7 games (so i still carry a few APCBC) , and it is soooo satisfying to kill those hull-down IFVs who "curve shoot" their ATGMs sayin "I can do that too, but i can survive!" 👍🦊

This thing gives me 3KD+ ratio easy. Have this vehicle with bmp 2, t55a, t62, maybe T-10m or IT-1. At the 8.3 BR you’ll rake in 10k rp each game.

i would already just buy it for the looks

Just came from the giveaway video and really want to see what you have to say about the t-55. At the same rank but lower bf I really want to know if it’s fun and competitive at the same time. Awesome videos man!

The T-55AM-1 is one of my favorite tanks in the tech tree. Or in general. I love it and even though I've worked far past it into the T-72s and 80's and 90's and whatnot, it's still in my line up because regardless, I love that tank.

I agree but personally I prefer taking APCBC so that I could one shot more.

that's what i'm thinking about, buy the T-55AM-1 or T-72AV Turums-T, the thing is that i'm goin to uptier them to 10.7 anyways (cause of the Ka-50, that i will more likely buy) but also for the Su-25K which was recently uptiered to 10.0 (which is kinda bad to me but whatever) and i saw the 100mm doesn't really does much to 10.0 tanks, and i think i'll buy the T-72AV, but honesly the T-55AM-1 has a badass frontal armour ngl, but idk guys, i think i'll buy the T-72AV, for me, the T-55AM-1 has too small cannon, i mean honestly it should be 110-115mm but tell me what do u think (reminder i will uptier to 10.7 [probably])

Gonna purchase this and the su25k.

I bought the TURMS, it is very fun, but am seriously considering buying the T55 also. This guide is pushing me over the edge!

I have been having a good deal of fun with the British tree as well. Perhaps when that goes on sale on May 5th maybe pick up one or two British premiums instead? The Centurion Mk 5 and AVRE are very good. Likewise, the T114 in the US tree is hilarious if you like light tanks and being sneaky

8:36 dude brought a hellcat in 9.7

Pro tip: dont use APFSDS. Those are useless on the 100mm cannon. Carry around 13 APHE shells and 12 ATGMs. Even at 9.3, you can 1 shot anything from the front. Just dont forget about the laser rangefinder.

Yep, the problem with the T-55A is that you can only reliably hit with APHE at close - medium range, and having the laser rangefinder it means the AM-1 can work at long range, but you can't really hit a moving target. I'd take 13 APHE, 8 APFSDS, and 4 ATGM personally. ATGM to hit moving targets / Helis at long range and APFSDS in case you meet something that can't be penned reliably with APHE, ATGM's are slow and can be spotted by the enemy and can't go through fences.

@@mikailvito7200 This is personal experience. With APFSDS, I struggled to 1 shot even when hitting ammo racks, and had some BS bounces like the Conqueror's LFP at 400 meters. Average game was around 2 frags. With ATGMs and APHE, I now usually score around 5 frags per game. Practice, and it will definetly pay off.

Well soon the 10th anniversary will be here and if the packs are going to be 50% then I will be buying the t-72av (turms-t) and the t-55am-1

im still cant decide if going for this tank or for the t 72 premium, since i want to pair it whit my obj 273 event tank, so i don't know if its ok buying this tank or going straight for the t72 sturm at 9.3

Small suggestion: when reviewing tanks, show us camos if possible

@@akipovakipov8240 With some hour behind my back with the XM1(Chrysler).. I can tell you can knock out any T72.. Front plate/side/turret ring can be penetrated. But the Chrysler is a paper tank. Also loud. Im always find a good spot to surprise them turn off the engine and wait for whatever comes. I grinded the ace crew for the chrysler. 1.780.000 rp yeez

I am 8.3 ground in Russia, I’m trying to decide whether I should get the am-1 or object-920, does anyone have any recommendations?

I already have 8.3 lineup, thats y ill buy the turms

T55am1 is still t55 but with longer health bar and more resilient, do not expect its fire power because it is still mounting an 100mm gun. A leopard 1 or T-62 can easily sending it to heaven

I have it it is superb you can even use it at top tier

What about the xm1

Absolutely no...today...I have lost countless SL because this thing cannot perform as it gets 1 tapped by anything and everything. I have had the ATGM do nothing to a class 3P when I hit it square in the side and it only turned its ammo yellow, its got no survivability as 3 crew in a row on 1 side and ammo on the other, the armour is pathetic as its geared to stop HEAT which it never has to face because darts meta and its mobility is glacial. This thing is target practice for everyone else. My crew is aced...and it still sucks after 2 years of playing. I am not even rushing in...I am setting up ambushes which somehow end with me dying instead...avoid like the bloody plague

Fuck it no need comrad bt-7 is good enough for 10.0 tanks

This thing should not be at 8.3. In a downtier, which It gets often, it basically seal-clubs everything. That is the only reason why wehraboos prefer T-55AM-1 over TURMS. Smh!

at this point you should NOT buy anything, you should look for different game ... cause gajin is trying to milk more and more from us and the game is becomming more and more frustrating mess ... soon only whales that invested into the game will be the only ones left playing this mark those words from someone who plays from pre-america days

I bought the XM1(Chrysler) for 50% off. I reached 10.3 and now im grind the new SPAA at 10.0. I will buy this tank soon

Both are pretty bad, but the TURM-S is a special case of auto-loss incredibly bad russian teams 90% of the time. Frankly, skip both and talisman something good like the BMP line to grind Ru ground. Use the money to buy a Su-7 to print SL.

This tank simply put easily 9.0 material
