Did you get captured by Clingons, and rescued by Buck Rogers too? Yes it was good in 1980 when I visited. I think we got a better tour than is on offer today. I visited here in April 1983 and again in May 2023 and was surprised that some of the parts were same as 40 years ago. The Jaws and the rain effect and the earthquakes. You should definitely revisit it. Don't miss the Water World show - the old-school stunt show.

I didn't know this was still a thing! I thought it vanished when the amusement parks started amping up. I went here in 1983, I think. I was sixteen. I loved it. They were filming You Can't Do That On T.V. Sat thru a taping. I remember a set with Battle star galactica ( the original ). Saw Angela Landsbury from Murder She Wrote walking about. Just magic. Way more fulfilling than the amusement parks. I was always a t.v. and movie junkie. THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT QUALITY VIDEO.

Fire Station 51 is officially LAFD Engine, Truck, Squad 51 etc. They are there because of the show Emergency, which was shot at Universal in the early 1970's. The show also sparked millions of careers in EMS and the Fire Service since.....I was one of them. Too bad the guide didn't know any of this.

Last time I rode was 1989. It's change a LOT since then. For one, no TV's screens. The original King Kong feature had not burned down yet, and the town square had been altered for shooting "Back To The Future II". There was none of the 3D glasses type of attractions then, and I don't care much for them today. 17:29, they use to drive across that bridge, which would start moving as if on the verge of collapsing. It was all simulated though. I wonder why they closed it? OK, I found out: "Since 2006, some studio tours have bypassed the Collapsing Bridge, due to aging and wearing. However, the bridge has since undergone renovations, and was added back to the tour schedules in August 2008. Since July 2010, the Collapsing Bridge has been used as a representation of the Skull Island area for the new King Kong: 360 3-D attraction."

Yesterday I saw this with my grandchildren it's wonderful unforgettable experience.
Damn, I'm amazed that they kept the flash flood area for so long. I recognized it from BFL before she even confirmed it.
Wow thanks for this! They made some changes since the last time I was there which was many many years ago. Nice to see the flash flood and earthquake attraction still there. Brings back memories.

Amazing! This is really fun. I remember traveling to California and visited this place for the first time. I was really exciting and the tour around was so enjoyable. When I was there, the tour bus seats were so full, look at how empty the seats were. Seeing this brings back memories!

The next best thing to being there!! This is great thank you for sharing 🎬
I admire Tour guides like Sammy (not sure if i got that name right): the must be cheerful and happy every time, every tour and have to keep repeating the same stuff multiple times a day. Me, i couldn't do this. At least not the "smile even if you're having a bad day".
This is great quality, thanks for the upload.
This was cool to watch. Took it in 1997 and actually went to see the show Home and Family. Met Suzanne Somers because my husband was pulled from the audience to help with a cooking segment. Very cool memory. THANKS!!!

Ok, just letting tall know the gyroshere was existing, it just didn't ACTUALLY drive, for example the scene from Fallen Kingdom when Claire and Franklin fell off the cliff, that was made with a roller coaster track, that's why they are screaming in fear

The Tour is the best thing at Universal. Universal Florida doesn't even have it since it's not even a real studio, just a theme park with no history. Universal Hollywood is so much better

I miss going on the studios Tour, it feels like I'm there on the tram! ❤️
The earthquake ride used to be a feature for the original Battlestar Galactica. Was a little kid at the time back in the early 80s.
The flood and fire scene use to scare me as a child..And back in those days they didn't have the little tv..
I was here in February 2022,A ride to remember

I went there for my birthday two years ago, the main reason is went on the tour is because of the jaws ride,😂 it is my favorite movie
Thank you it looks really good. And quite scary too
30:35 So happy to see they found Nemo
Oh my God I want that because I was always scared of that but I had a different one of them I want to add the red so I really like that one
Fun fact before Wisteria Lane was Wisteria Lane it was Mockingbird Lane in The Munsters tv series
Great Job mam thats all that i am going to be saying to you about that one.!'
I miss the old studio tour trams painted with light blue and gold stars
0:07 that one girl in the back is pretty excited to sit lol
Great Video, i was there in 2006. 😀
haven't been there since I was a kid back in 2007 damn times have changed
When ever they talked about saying seated I always thought about that scene in the wizard where they jump from cart to cart and almost die
29:48 I swear she's a sociopath. She has no concern for the diver while Jaws ate him. 😮😳 Also, the whole ride she's cracking jokes. They should make a movie about the ride and make it a story about the horror behind the ride. 🤷
man, would hate to have to go to the bathroom on this ride
i was there and on the dinosaur one a little kid loved dinosaurs but after that he was crying. Yeah. don’t think they’ll like em anymore. To this day, this is still my favorite thing at the entire place. idk why.
This is universal
I actually went here I swear I like Jurassic park and King Kong so I LOVED IT BRO and my tourists was the funniest his name was RUUUUMON!!!!
I was a tour guide back in the 90s. We had no monitors!

I took the tour in 1972 and still remember it... we did not have 3D glasses, of course.

I took the Tour back in the summer of 1977,back when Battlestar Galactica was the focus at Universal. I’m sure it’s changed a bunch since then.
I CAME HERE BEFORE
It sucks that in the scene where the sicko was, there used to be a guy that came out of that house with a woman in his arms, he would put her in the trunk of the car and he had a knife in his house, he’d look at us and chase us, sadly they don’t have that scene anymore

back in 2002, my high school was a bus trip away from universal studios. me and my friends got the annual pass, (which was like $20 back then, crazy bargain price), we would ditch school and go there. i probably went here like once a week, but gladly i did barely graduate of high school.
