As a Chinese daughter myself, its kinda an unspoken rule that you don't talk to your parents about relationships until it gets super serious. Like planning in proposing serious. Because Chinese parents can be judgement even if it was with a Chinese man so you got to make sure you're in a stable time of life before introducing parents

Right. I think her telling him about her mom made him mad because she did something about it and distanced herself. He stayed around them and made the jokes too.
