Hats off to whoever built the engine in 27. Thing was straight abused the whole run and never bitched about it.

They sure did, pretty much all the heats were like this, all made junk!

It looked like 27 couldn't handle the power under his hood at first by the way he was feathering his throttle but and he got it figured out and he did make some pretty impressive hits when he had a straight on shot 2nd edit also what was sticking out the right front of the 74 car and how did the flagmen didn't stop the race to take care of it

27 sounds like an LS. They don't need "built". If on alcohol injectors and an oil cooler they will run an hour without a radiator.

I've never seen such dreadfull driving. No indicators used, no courtesey extended to fellow drivers and nobody bothered to exchange insurance details after accident. I assume these drivers are not insured. One thing is certain. Thet will never pass a driving test. The examiner will probably die of heart failure during the test. Otherwise, best wishes from an 87 year old Englishman who would like to extend his compliments and thanks to all you chaps for the hours of pleasure you have gived him.
