Like one of the comments says, watching this because of Cheng Yi. Without subtitle, it's hard to understand what's going on. Too many characters appear almost simultaneously, it gets confusing and boring; even though those senior actors and actresses are really good. However, Cheng Yi never disappoints. He is super cute and takes acting seriously; no matter what role he plays, he always looks the part. He looks so young here, just like a teenager. He surely doesn't need too much make-up. What a handsome young man.

@@patw5550 the Era of emperor kangxi is another good one, but the background is in Qing dynasty which ruled by minority people so a bit different.

Ming Dynasty is beloved by the Han. This TV production first introduced the first Emperor and the third Emperor, then in between the second one in succession is very dramatic.

sadly most of the good drama never get sub in eng..... have one drama that im wating more then 8 years.....

画质清晰，服装华丽，演员整容豪华，演技也到位，可以打8分左右，值得一看。

I understand Mandarin. But hope China good movies and dramas have multi language subtitles. Can start a China Wave like Korean Wave.
