Right there is a good man. A smart one too. A few points to think on. 1.) He makes a small profit on every gallon sold. 2.) He sells a lot more gallons with his service. 3.) His life is a lot better and more people love him for the way he does business. 4.) How can we all make a difference? 5.) Now go do something for someone.

Rustaholic777 not that easy. I live in southern ca where people look at my pale skin as a liability and high price. People nowdays would rather have sancho pull up in a truck with no lic or insurance with a even lower price

It's August 2020, I miss this kind of service and people talk to each other.

me and my twin bro still work and pump gas at a full service station in new jersey, ironically called twin towers service station. people love it and know what to expect from us, checking tires, oil, washing windows. family owned business for 80 years and all the workers take pride in it.

Jersey is also a state where you can’t legally pump your own gas so I could see the business flourishing just because it’s just another gas station... unfortunately, even at self service gas stations in a state that does allow driver to pump, service is horrible. You might get someone come up to the window and mumble some intangible words. Never mind a windshield wash, tire, or oil check...
His business keeps moving forward by doing it the old fashioned way! Personal connection, A1 service, trust and convenience. Wish there were more places like this!
Kings station in Gonzales,Tx is just like this. Full service, family owned.
Lord, I pray your blessings on this gentleman.
This is old school, real America, sad to see it disappear

We had a place like this in Jefferson SC. The man that ran the place was called Honey. Everybody referred to the place as Honey's. They sold gas full service, new tires, tire repair and had an on premises alcohol license. Local people sat around in the station and talked for hours. You could drink a few beers and get some to go. There was no drunks around and all the men folks where respectful to women and children. Honey opened at 6am and closed promptly at 7pm. It was a very unique place I am 40 years old now and grew up going in and out of that place and hanging around in the station as I got older though I was never a drinker. I always liked going for the conversation and entertainment. It all started changing about the mid 2000s. All the older men that where retired and always anchored the conversation died and nobody replaced them. The younger generations are now walking around staring at there cell phone. Google solves all the arguments in an instant there no longer any reason to get atlas out. They lost there in ground tank permit about 10 years ago and had to quite sell gas and beer. It is a full service tire and auto repair shop now run by Honeys son and grandson. Honey went station every day until he got sick and died a few years ago. Honeys use to be a magical place for me and hold a lot of special memories from growing up and my 20s. Society has changed tremendously in the past 20 years. people are losing touch with one another. If there is a placed left like this in your part of the world don't take it for granted.
What a cool place , I miss the old days such a simpler and beautiful world it was back then !! His face features and the way he talks remind me of the country singer Allen Jackson .

This is the Texas reason I came to texas...but after 7 months this is the only part of Texas that still exists. Hope one day I have reason to come back God Bless Texas
I’ve watched and commented on several videos this evening. I like your journalism. It’s something this country lacks today.
I wish the full service station coming back someday.

Analog pumps. Last one I seen was Sinclair station in Mo in 96
Man we need stations like this around here
I remember years ago the old country towns out west where there's still Service Stations like Sinclair, Texaco, Phillips 66. Here in Michigan it's boring and fast and greedy. This put a tear in my eye of remembrance of my childhood in the 70s
I just love these shows, helps to remind us that there are still good human beings in the world!
Amazing video God Bless you Maurice
Trust, honesty and integrity. Hard to find these days in the USA. What a shame?
The world needs more people like Mr. Jackson. May you continue to pump for many years in the future, no matter what the nay-sayers may say.
Amazing,,,, This is what would make America great again.

I wish I had one of these locally. What a nice fellow !!
What a great guy! Everything he said is 100% true. People have lost touch with what really counts .....CARING.
I miss working in those service stations. I worked through high school in those and cattle auctions in west Texas.

when I was a kid I went once but my brother used to go every summer down to O'Donnell Texas and work on the fields. O'Donnell Texas is a small farming community.
The two thumbs down need to settle up their monthly tab.
This is so cool. These full service gas stations ended when I was a kid.

Right on, when they should bring these Full Service Gas Stations back to Modern times then Society would get a kick out of them.
Hard work is all it is and service to his customers and others is how we are meant to be it's what fuels our humanity I believe.
I hope this goes on for the next 100 years. We need to keep certain things like this around. God bless this man

I grew up doing exactly what they do there..check the oil check your tires changed the oil change tires pump gas I did all that many many many years.... I definitely miss it
God Bless that man! 👍
Iv been to O'Donnell over 100 + Times and I've never known about this station. WHAT! LOL awesome
Awesome video. I worked at a full service station as a teenager. I miss it. Was fun back then. Now everyone is in a big hurry to go nowhere. But I think full service will return one day. Just as all the good things usually do.
This is what people mean when we say Make America Great Again
Pretty cool to google earth it. Looking up and down Doak Street I saw a nice old building with the Blocker name on it. Go Hoss Cartwright.
And a lot of people plain refuse to work. I hope this video inspires them

Go out west bro in the old country towns like in Texas
I miss these times. When I grew up I always looked forward to the man in our town that knew your family etc and he was like family Looked out for your car. Let me know if you needed some oil, and I remember those days going to High school not having enough gas to get there and he told me let’s go ahead and put gas in your car just tell your mom and dad to stop by here within the next day and will take care of things. Places like that were the best and we always made sure that we frequented those establishments
He even has the older pumps with the lever. Lol Funny story. I was filling uo with a friend and she got out if the car and kept telling me that JUST HER LUCK THE PUMP WOULD BREAK. So i grt out if the car and look over and immediately told her PUT THE PUMP BACK ON TAKE IT OFF AND FLIP THE LEVER 😂. She looked at me like i had 5 heads 😂. That style pump was the last of my generation on those pumps lol. Mind you this pump is located at a 7-11 store and OLDER STORE that was bought out and changed to a 7-11. I mean why change the pumps if they still work
Beautiful story
GREAT JOB.. YOU ARE THE BEST. THANK YOU, SIR..
What a great job you have to meet some of the nicest people across the United States.

I'm ready! Anybody else ready to move to Maurice's O'Donnell with me? 🤠🐴💓
I lost buster, a pure blood golden retriever, he was amazing, he learned sign language Basic commands. He hugged a alley cat in his chest in winter time to keep him warm.
Now talk about good service you don't see that hardly anywhere anymore Mr Jackson is a real credit to his community. God Bless him and his wife. And O'Donnell,Tx.
Everytime one of these old timers pass away, we lose a national treasure.
People like him keep the world spinning.

Hey Ron, just for kicks I'm testing my memory some more. I can remember that Odonnell was booming in Nov & Dec of '39 and we went into town to a grocery store. One of my elders told me that that was Hoss' parents grocery. Wonder if that was correct? ...dw
We have a full service gas station here in my little town of Albany Tx. It's too bad their's not many people who get to experience something like this.
Your memory is workin just fine!
awesome!
very cool....we need more of this.
lovely!
WoW I almost cried 😢.
What a great man
i hope its just his amazing service thats keeping the customers coming older gents like that would give you there last meal to not see you go hungry i just hope hes charging enough so he and employees can make a reasonable living and hes not swalloing subk costs just to help the town out

I noticed your tolltag transponder. Soon you can use it in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina
I work at a gas station and the reason behind no full service is because my station has twenty four gas pumps is 24hrs there are sometimes where you have to wait for a pump if we had full service we would be screwed
Makes me want to drive from Northeast California to Texas just to get a tank of gas
SWEET GOD LOVE THEM
