The cure to all this drug problem on both sides of the border is supporting the family. Family with a dad and a mom. Families with values. However, we are beyond that, people ridicule traditional families and values.

The government can't really manage that in a sufficient way. So it's not something a senator can even propose as a solution.

What a dumb response. Most of the drug addicts in the worst parts of Ohio already have families lol.
And what do you think happened to the Mexican ' s army,Police, border patrol? It's called payoffs.( Everyone gets a piece of that blood money!)

@LadieKatie Can you name anything positive he has done? Like he ran on wanting to help fix the opioid crisis.... from what I've seen he's done virtually nothing.
It doesn't matter how much money you have you can still become addicted
Wow. Nice to hear a Republican talk knowledgeably and honestly about an important subject! He's a good speaker. Previously, I had only heard him spouting ridiculous talking points. Using the military in Mexico is fraught with problems and he too readily downplays legalisation. It was dishonest when he conflated free needles with legalisation. Free needles is harm reduction. Treating use as a medical problem, not a criminal problem would be good.

The U.S. military must be used sooner than later, otherwise, it will become a more difficult problem to deal with.
look at which states are still obstructing NPs from prescribing SA treatments...treatment works if they stay on it and if they have access to it!
Well thar was the most reasonable Maga Republican i have heard address the issue. No circle talk, answered questions without blaming others, and acknowledged things. Get away from the Magas and save the party.

No, but you can use military force to destroy a foreign terrorist organization like the drug cartels in Mexico. Afterwards, you can transition the power to civilian authorities. Once the major organization is destoryed and disbanded, it will take years or decades for them to rebuild their infrastructure. A major deadly military strike would demoralize any new criminal organization that tries to enter the illegal drug market.

If the border and port authorities were better funded for more boots on the ground with more equipment like drug--dogs, x-ray etc. they could be more effective.

IF Mexico invites US help, then help initiating a war on the cartels is probably not the best way. Why didn't Trump do that during his 4 years? Didn't he recommend it?

Distribute Fentanyl testers .. sellers and users can test the drug
At least he sorts of admit that Ohio is a failed state. Maybe that's where you have to start, caring for the most vulnerable in your country before blaming others. That's like when Mexico blams the US for sending millions of guns to Mexico, who's letting them in with loose border control? Misery and addiction are US problems, guns and strong cartels are Mexican problems. And governments incompetence and lack of cooperation are everyone's problems 😢

A handsome but evil man.
Save my words: sending US troops to Mexico to address the drug crisis will end no difference from “build the wall and Mexico is gonna pay for it”
@kbarnhart8400
11 ай бұрын
Well Biden stopped the wall and let fentanyl in and so instead of Mexico paying for it, Ohio is paying for not building the wall. But Biden doesn't care because he probably get campaign contributions from the cartels by bank wires. So I see Biden's point on his money.
