Hey man, just wanted to say a big thank you for this video, it showed accurately, the step by step process on replacing the screen. Other videos on KZread weren't too helpful or too quick. This was perfect so a like and sub to help you out. One little thing I want to add that may help you, I only know this from experience ..... when taking out the motherboard, make sure to eject the sim tray, I know its obvious to the more advanced people but for the new people learning this, take out the sim card try otherwise it bends in the mother board and will snap. I saw on your video you didnt point that bit out but again. ... great video. Thank you 👍👍

Thanks mate, great video! Managed to repair my S8 without any issues. Small request, when screwing the screw, please point first before screwing so ur hand does not cover what ur doing. Keep it up!

Thank you very much for this video. I had never worked on a phone before and with this video I ordered a new genuine Samsung frame assembly and repaired my S8 like new again! Whilst doing the job I put a new USB port in (old one was very janky) and also a new battery . It really is like a new phone now and has a rugged new cover to prevent the same thing from happening again. (The screen was already cracked and I dropped it which rendered the phone totally inoperable)

Hi, nice video I just wanted to ask I have a Samsung s8 with a broken screen I only want to recover my data would this still work if I just buy a second hand phone with a working screen then swap these parts over? As I can get these phones for really cheap but the screens cost like double. Thanks

After doing this repair, my sound doesn't work through the phone speakers. It DOES work through the audio jack though. Any ideas on what I could do to fix this?

Done this two times. All went good except for the back glass shattered. Anyway it's a cheap and fast replacement.

Hi Liam, yes, I agree but everybody calls them lcds (on yt and or when ordering on aliexpress). That's why I wrote LCD ;)

Hi, firstly try to reboot the phone. If that deosn't work, you need to look if you connected the two coaxial cables at the right place (the blue and the white cable). I hope that this is helpful for you and I wish you a nice day

Yes, the displays sold on aliexpress are original dispays which had there frontglass broken and replaced, so the lcd is 100% original, the only non original part (which doesn't come from samsung) is the front glass but they are almost identical to the original ones. So yeah, I prefer to buy them on aliexpress, rather than pay more and get them from Samsung.

@@TheTechShowChannel I'm not sure about the prices in the US, it depends on the country, because I'm from Europe and here if you want to get your screen fixed and with an original samsung screen it costs 250€ so 275$ approximatly. But I would also think that they have some sort of alibaba/aliexpress seller which sells them lcd screens in bulk so that they get a better price. I bought some s8 lcds for 95-100 € (105-110$) in bulk when there were aliexpress sales. The other possibility is that your local repair shop have lcd freezers and laminators which are machines used to separate the front glass from the actual lcd and replace this broken glass with a new one which costs around 10$ and then they can make an insane amount of profit on each repaired phone. (I was also thinking about doing that, but the machines are pretty expensive). If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask me. I'll soon post more repair video and other stuff ;)

Hi, the thing is that kf you replace the screen of your phone, the phone isn't water resistent anymore due to the backglass which had to be removed.

is it also a super Amoled display or?

No I didn't, because I chose the Aliexpress Standard shipping which is slow but very cheap and sometimes free. Whenever I buy stuff and add DHL shipping, I need to pay customs (20-30% of the estimate value of the product) but with the slow standard shipping I never had to.

@@TheTechShowChannel Sometimes there are some little burn in marks but normally there aren't. I don't have the screen nor the phone anymore, the thing is that those chinese store refurbish original screens and then grade them and you also can buy some cheaper screen which have some burn in marks for 40% cheaper.
