If merc was allowed to eat then troth should have been able to use loh imo. Mages are the only ones that should be allowed to eat during a duel.

is there a certain macro you use for your trinket/wings/zealotry?

Agreed Troth :) if you look closely to the end of the duel, you'll see Merc's hp at 4002 and Merc's Backstab was a fraction of a second faster than Troth's de-buff tick for 4032 damage. Both was awesome... great duel dude. :)
