Stamina is crucial in boxing (of course among the other stuff like strenght, technique, experience). After a minute of sparring guy was making more and more mistakes as he was getting tired really fast. That's why there is a lot of running, jumping, intervals in boxing training. Kudos to him tho, he put some nice punches and dodges.

What I see is that Andrew is super relax and hes not losing a lot of energy, and the smaller guy is super hard at the beggining, I think hes super tense and this is why he gassed out.

I think the little dude did well actually! He touched Tate multiple times with both hands and made it difficult for Tate to hit him because of his movement. For a little guy he did pretty good and did much better than Andrew’s little cousin. He just needs more cardio but good job 👍

Everybody says that smaller dude went hard, but actually he didn't. He was quite respectful with his punches and was holding back. He knew well who was in front of him. He had plenty of oppotunities to strike in close quarters, but he was scared from the very beginning. The question is why has Tate has chosen a smaller guy for his 1st sparring. Somebody tougher, bigger and with similar technique would have performed much better.

They both fought like men, this was an excellent sparring round and you can see just from their match they both respect one another. @2:45-2:53 that is what you call a kidney shot, a brutal brutal body shot that can lay down an opponent faster then aiming for his/her face. @@qlasalle He probably also trains himself. Shoot, if you train boxing or any martial art, you'd immediately recognize what's happening to Tate at that moment. He's not "biding his time", he's not "waiting for the opponent to get gassed", he's not "playing the long game". What's happening is, the smaller guy's offense is so explosive and dynamic that the pure pressure he's putting on is straight up shutting down Tate's options. The ONLY reason that Tate counters back is because it's sparring and the little dude isn't really trying to hurt Tate, and also because I think the little guy is Tate's trainer, so he's easing up on Tate so that Tate can get his shots in. I honestly think you should be able to see this even if you don't train. It's just deduction and reading body language at that point.

Andrew has street fight skills. He really moves like a cobra, ... From the start the shorter guy shows fear against the bigger opponen.t. Not going to lie, dude moves intimating asf. that's why andrew is just letting little guy build confidence when indeed he's just setting up the closing shot. Iam 5'6, and viscous asf, but I run when I see big dudes move like this, I know they got something dial down. 😅 Bruce lee said, beware of the guy that practices a kick 10000 times compare to the 🎉guy that practice 10000 kicks. Don't take running away as a blow to your manhood, even tigers run away to fight back prey. Always gotta move smart.

Someone who boxes and moves like that is NOT getting tired after just 1 or 2 minutes. Just from watching his technical skills and footwork, it's very obvious that this is a boxer that is much better than your average Joe. Most likely he is a professional trainer or coach or ex-pro that Tate hired, and at first the coach went a little too hard in the beginning and had to readjust his skill level to Tate's, which is why he seemingly gets "gassed" and shells up leaving his body wide open.

@@doctorhunger921 I'm not saying you're wrong. He has very good moves and seem well trained. I never meant that he was bad or unexperienced in any way, my comment was merely a reflection of what it looks like. He does in fact look really tired from that point, but you make a valid point too. However we are only speculating, it could be either way.
