    I am pretty happy with the two Zendure SBVs that I got, 4.6kWh of storage, but if I leave the inverters on (which I need to do to get AC power out of the unit) it eats a TON of battery even if I don't have anything plugged in. So powering my fridge during the periods when the compressor is NOT running I am still losing buckets of power. How fast does this unit discharge when nothing is powered from the AC outputs but they are on?

  • @AveRage_Joe

    As in plug it into the wall to recharge or power stuff in the house. Yes to both BUT if powering things you would need to make SURE the main breaker is off otherwise you would blow it up. Best way to do it is use a generator lockout on your main panel OR with a small backup panel/transfer switch like a pro trans.

  • @marklewus5468
    @marklewus54688 ай бұрын

    interesting they use 110 V. For any given inverter output power, you need more current at 110 V than 120. And the cost of building an inverter is far more related to current than it is to voltage. They’re leaving ~10% of inverter capacity on the table with no cost benefit.

    Pretty nice power station, but it's a bummer that it doesn't do 120v (just 110), I'd rule it out just because of that. They should really fix that. Tolerances and all I'm sure it'll power most things just fine, but that's annoying. For under $3500 you can build a better portable station yourself that actually outputs 120v with a higher output and better MPPT.

  • @AveRage_Joe

    Yeah it is a bummer that it is not 120v. Im not really sure why they would do that. I wonder if there is a POT or something inside I could adjust lol. I m gonna send them a msg to see if there is a reason for the 110 and not 120! I think I built the Orient power portable for under $3500. Its bigger for sure tho lol

    @@AveRage_Joe It would be awesome if it could easily be changed. Portability is a big selling point over building your own. You could disassemble an all in one and battery bank and repackage it into a better portable form factor but that's a lot of work and no warranty.

    It’s not horrible: $3,000 dollars gets you 5,120 Wh of power. The Ecoflow Delta now comes with an electric vehicle charger port for quick cheap charging. Soon any power station anyone will want will have this. Some company like Victron will likely release an EV charger kit in the near future that any system could use but that is just a maybe. This battery targets people with a lot of money who want convenience and at the moment Ecoflow is the clear winner for that group.

    This a battery with large storage capacties that can attach to ac current and also solar panel to generate solar electricity and ac electricity. And can turn into DC. Something that is pretty cooll if you ask me. Always nice to have a back up to a backup. Cover all bases main. You can build a solar module. Thats connect solar panels and inverter and batteries to a control panel and with these 2 devices side by side you should be good off grid. But to be 100 percent sure build 3 solar modules for extra power to oower a small house. But you be living off grid. So 3 solar modules and this battery for back up power for the winter when there is less sun. Your welcome. Now go to nake money to build these things lol. Anyone want to donate?😅 Serious question.❤

    You first UPS test wasn’t a true pass through UPS test. You were never running the equipment off the AC input. Since you were drawing 1400 watts and charging at 600 watts, you were mainly running off the batteries while slow charging. This is at least how I interpreted it. I could be wrong.

  • @AveRage_Joe

    @AveRage_Joe

    It was passing the grid through to power the heater and bulb and also charging the battery at 600w. Once unplugged from grid it "clicked" and engaged the inverter to continue powering. Thats what the lil flicker was. Both unplugging and plugging from grid.

  • @takenusername

    @takenusername

    @@AveRage_Joe I must have misunderstood how the slow charge works. Because it was enabled, I assumed that the AC input only allowed 600 watts, making it impossible to power the load. Are you saying that you were drawing 2000 watts from the outlet? 600 to charge and 1400 pass through?

  • @AveRage_Joe

    @AveRage_Joe

    Yeah the switch is just slow charge or fast charge. Which ever you want to do. As far as it pulling 2000w from the wall on UPS mode and charging.....great question! I didnt measure at the wall during that. I will check and see what it shows! Thanks for your clarification btw🤘
