I really can’t tolerate an AI voice reading anything but a science manual. The AI voice cannot give us the emotional inflection heard only when a person reading a book aloud can give us. Surprise demands a gasp. Love requires a soft, breathy voice. Comedy must have a gleeful tone with the rise and fall and breathlessness of delivering a joke. The devastation of loss or sadness is not passed along. These are only a few of the emotions that are required to give the enjoyment of listening to a novel. Please, do not continue the practice of depersonalizing what the author is trying to express to his/her audience.

PS. I forgot to mention that I couldn’t listen past five minutes. It is just too tedious to listen to and try to get into a book read by AI. It may cut costs when producing the book, but, if a person can’t take the droning of this artificial voice, there will be fewer sales.

I almost skipped this because the picture made me think it was a smutty book. I only gave it a chance because it said regency. I am sure there are better pictures that capture the heart of the book better. When the actual book shows on the screen, it's more appropriate.
