Ride along for uncut segments of Loop 1 and Loop 2 of the Desert MC Winter Classic Hare & Hound in Johnson Valley, CA at Anderson Dry Lake. Had a good start going, but struggled to find the early paced and dropped back a bit before coming back the second half of the first loop. The second loop was a struggle in the rocks trying to manage the new bike, but finished 4th Pro 250 at the checkers.

It handles really well, but the motor is tough to ride in the tight rocks, especially since it’s geared up to 14/50. Having spent a lot of time on a new KTM 300 XC TBi, that bike is really amazing and fun to ride. The KX is as well, just maybe not quite as versatile of an off-road bike as the 300
