I was shocked seeing him weld without the tinted face shield. His eyes could be easily damaged by a spark and they have both exposed their cornea/iris to irreparable damage from that extremely bright welding light.

But none that I've seen to this level. The only thing that I rarely see is fading the paint to the adjacent panels. I know it's more work, but if you're this perfect with everything else...

My observation is that firstly you need to have welding mask or a goggles for protecting your eyes while welding. Secondly, I am amazed to find how the insurance company is able to allow the repair cost more than 50% that of the insured value for the vehicle. I believe that you have taken this vehicle in auction which was sold as scrap and you did some modifications and sell it in the market for a price cost plus nominal margin. If that would be the case, what type of warranty you give for this vehicle. Your job is commendable. Keep it up.

Well, most cars if not all are made from steel sheets that are spot welded together. If you can have acces to all that factory parts like molded steel sheet, then the frame itself becomes a bunch of spare parts just like you saw in the video. They make it look easy because they have done that many times.

Do you think hes looking at the weld? Hell no, he has closed his eyes. How many times have you done welding and done that? If he was looking at it, only a few seconds of weld flash will blind him. Geeeezzzz

That's electric welding which requires mask to protect eyes. My question is -does gas welding also require mask to protect eyes?
