Im a Day One VGK fan... I really needed them to win the Cup. My father passed just days before the season ended and I was wrecked. Hockey got me through the opening stages of the grief and provided the distractions at the right times. And when they won the Cup I knew things were going to be okay.

You have no idea how great our fan base is here. Too bad we were all gassed out from celebrating for basically 2 straight periods because our team is so damn good that it wasn't even a game. Let alone a series. I'm born and raised here and I've played and loved hockey my entire life, there are many of us here. New fans are great too. The game growing and being watched and played by more people is amazing.

@@brandocalrissian3294 you missed my point. Congrats for vgk win. But just imagine, being SJC, or even Ana in a way - 16 yrs or more since last cup or SJC, 30 YRS and no cup ever. Go watch La kings ot win 2012 or 2014, whichever it was and how excited they are. The anguish thru 1967 thru 1993, then all the lows. They finally win after 45 yrs, their first cup. The pain made the victory sweet. George Mcphee - ex canuck mgmt under Pat Quinn, paid his dues, built that vgk team. But I'm just saying, the real disappointment of losing hockey was never felt in vgk since season 1. Your fanbase is very very very fortunate to win in season 6. As I say that, I realize and remember you folks in vegas had that horrible shooting in 2017. So that was horrible, so maybe in that respect, you've suffered and my deep condolences. But from simple hockey perspective, your fans are passionate, but when a fan base has not won a cup ever, in 50 plus years, or waited since last cup, for over 45 years, or waited 30 yrs and no cup like Florida, just imagine all that disappointment of that time span. Congratulations, enjoy it. Now imagine a team winning after 50 yrs of waiting. It will be one heck of a party watch yiutube vids of Vancouver Scf games 2011. It might make sense. The crowd used up all their energy during all 9 goals and pretty much can’t scream anymore but they are definitely extremely happy even though it may not seem like it.

i think it was a combo of three things. The game was out of reach in the 2nd period. Many of the crowd was recording it on their phones. Third, they just wanted to soak it in and just watch it! Its a historical event for Las Vegas!

Since Foley put it out to the universe that we would win the cup in 6 years!!! It was written in our stars and so it became ❤❤❤ GKG!! ❤️💛🩶

I would have laughed if the refs stopped gameplay and gave vegas a too many men penalty lol 😂. So glad vegas won. Florida played like scumbags and were a dirty team and got what they deserved
