Good morning my friend, I hope you are doing well, and I would like to leave a comment for you to read. It is absolutely amazing, relaxing, and so soothing to experience. As someone who used to be real adventurous and hiking all the time, something happened along the way and I lost all the spirit and want for adventure. However, coming across your stunning video reminds me how beautiful and free it feels to be there and be part of nature in harmony. Thank you so much and wish you all the best on your journeys :)

I wish I watched this before I ordered a pack, second person now who has recommended these. I got a nice stag last week and packed it out and it started splitting first trip :( Epic vid man! You make me keen to come over but I also remeber how steep and hard it is to hunt hahaha

Haha yea man there good packs, tatobkas are a good brand you could also look into. Can't recommend coming over to NZ enough for hunting. But never a bad idea to have a guide of sorts. Plenty of overseas hunters come here and find themselves in trouble.

@@strider_media yeah man, I did a few simple ones last year it’s hard country. I was cooked hahaha coming over for the rut with my bow just knocked over a nice velvet stag here last week. I make vids too and the hunting ones of yours are mental man! So much effort and rad shots I know what that takes and to pull off filming and hunting 🤯🙌. Sent your Chanel to all my mates it’s rad!!! Only thing I would change is carrying the PLB on your person, the amount of rescues I have been on where the pack is out of reach of the injured person. Last one person was not found for 6 days.

Yea man I've heard plenty of horror stories. I'm gonna get a new bink harness soon and that's something I might include. I'll say the benefit of having it stowed away in that dry bag, is that I always know it's there and I'm not going to lose it. My day job requires I have things like a plb, GPS and inreach. And I know that if I'm not using them, there's the chance I can lose them. At the end of the day my number one plan is to not need a plb at all, because a plb is definitely no guarantee of rescue anyway. Thanks for the comment!

Great video mate. I was also using the Bino-Pro but despite doing my best to stick with it, the bulk of the thing was too annoying. Plus descending ground with poor footing, i couldn't see my feet which bothered me so i switched to the Ridgeline Kahu system which was lighter and allows more visibility. For my First aid kit, i found a handy little pouch (actual first aid kit pouch), about the size of two packs of playing cards, which i can tetris a surprising amount of bandages, wipes, pain killers saline ampoule, emergency blanket and even a make-shift tourniquet into. I also have a slightly more basic first aid kit which goes onto my recovery belt. Finally, why the water bottle and not hydro packs? I've always liked the hydration on the go (but easier to drain i guess) - thoughts?

Thanks mate. Yea i certainly agree. The bino bro is just a bit on the bulky side, especially for bowhunting. and im definitely looking at other options, something a bit smaller, higher, probably with side pouches would be great. That first aid kit sounds bloody good, im looking at making my own system with some added fish hooks and line for catching eels. not sure if id take tourniquet as they can be quite bulky. but bandages, plasters, water purification and painkillers I think are great things to have. its certainly possible to take too much. plan A, B and C is to not need that stuff at all. Ive tried hydro packs and just never really got the attraction. ive had some leak and while drinking is certainly nice to be able to do all the time. im pretty good about staying hydrated and bottles can have other purposes, can help balance out my pack and are hard to break. In some situations where I had to camp far away from water sources I think a hydro pack would be a great additional water storage method that wont take up space when empty. Hope you enjoyed man, I'm definitely a bit of a gear nut haha. cheers

Love your videos mate really cool is there a reason you have the bow quiver with the fletches at the top I would think that they are much more visible to game as you put the bow up for the shot. Cheers Kim

On my recurve? It's a bit nicer to carry with a camera tripodand as far as being more visible, maybe, not something I've noticed making a difference. Thanks

Yea there's a thing I didn't touch on. I have a small pouch with plasters but am actually gonna upgrade it to something more substantial with bandages as not long after filming this I gashed my elbow down to the bone on a rock. Plasters arn't quite sufficient for that kind of injury.

hard to say mate, does catching frogs or shooting rabbits count. I'd say around 10 years, with a good portion of that being proffesional
