It's a great rendition. This piece is from an operetta, and it's such a fun song for sopranos, very difficult of course, but she adapted her dark, ominous voice just fine to it. Of course it's not a composition for the color of her voice, but she adapted it really well.

Than you!!! Now you have heard also her full operatic vocals❤ I love how versatile Tarja is. You never get bored, there is always something new behind the corner. Also, her voice is so unique. She has so much darkness in her voice, even in the higher notes.

I love the full "Beauty & the Beat" Concert. The funny interactions between Tarja, Mike and the conductor, the combination of classical music, her own rock tracks, some covers and Mike's solos is just great.

I love this project so much. My dream is to be present in a concert where Tarja sings like this. And what you said about the maestro telling her when to stop singing and when to start again is amazing. It just shows how trained she is. She can read music sheets with all the notes and follow the instructions from the conductor.

I absolutely love the Beauty and the Beat concert tour. I was lucky enough to see it live and I'm so glad that it also exists as a recording for everyone to see and hear. There are many other songs from this concert worth checking out too whenever they might come down the rabbit hole.

I really hope you are reactiong to many more songs from Beauty and the Beat. First part of it is fully classical music, but already with Mike on the drums! The second part is the modern part with her music plus the song we just listened to and a Led Zeppelin Medley! Do yourself a favour and listen to the whole concert. Mike is so funny! The whole concert is amazing and has become my favorite concert of her over the years.

This is a great show. Mike is funny. One song Tarja was on the drums while Mike sang. Just a little drumming. I think Mike taught her that part. You should react to Tarja singing Walking in the Air is awesome 👌. SwanHeart is Beautiful

Thanks a lot for reaction to this video and thanks to Mathias for the request. Mike is part of the Beauty & Beat project and he also played at this concert, which is from my country. But Mike is not in every song on the track with Tarja. This is a piece from the operetta Die Fledermaus and as you said: is also known as Adele's Laughing Song. "Adele, a chambermaid who has borrowed one of her mistress's gowns without permission, and gone to a party, also without permission, gets recognized there by her mistress's husband. She attempts to convince him that he is wrong by laughing scornfully at the idea that a glamorous woman like herself could possibly be a lowly chambermaid". Tarja is really special and sometimes even in her rock concerts I wish she sings like this, but I understand that she likes to play with her voice in different ways. My favorite song from this concert is Song to the Moon. It's from the opera Rusalka by our great Composer Antonín Dvořák - the plot is very similar to the story of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen and also ends tragically. The sad Rusalka (water nymph living in lake) sings to the moon to find her beloved prince and tell him that she is still waiting for him. It's a beautiful song. And I love your reaction, it shows that you can appreciate classical music. Thanks a lot.

when they say that Floor sings opera, god, there is no comparison.

This is what she started with, already before Nightwish. This is what she trained for and what she wanted to do and why she was leaving Nightwish. Some people say, she is not versatile, but she is, it`s just another type of versatility. She said in an interview, that she had to adjust her classical singing style by a lot to make it work with a metal band. And sure enough, one can clearly hear the difference of when she sings classical versus performing metal with his band. Mike didn`t perform with her in this song, but in many other songs, it was their tour, The Beauty & The Beat. Please react to her performing Ave Maria she composed herself in a church in 2013. I'm already becoming allergic to the word "universal" in connection with Nightwish. If we were all universal, all that would be left would be the boring average. We just need masters of crafts. And I agree with you. Tarja had to show a lot of flexibility and diligence to adapt to singing in the metal band. I admire how she constantly experiments and pushes her boundaries.

Yes now this IS Opera friends! By the 'boring' Straus Ricard rather then Johann. You are the 2nd to do a reaction. The Big Brain Singer Charlie Collata was 1st. Review by a professional opera singer was impressed but her technique could use a little work to meaaure up to a full time dedicated trained opera performer. But for someone stretching into a different genre it is very impressive. I just know I loved to see her enjoying herself. Does great things for my heart.❤❤

This is Operetta (a form of theatre and a genre of light opera, which includes spoken dialogue, songs, and dances and is lighter than opera in terms of its music, orchestral size, length of the work, and at face value, subject matter ) by Johann Strauss ll , not Richard 😊.

It's exactly that, what Tarja sayd herself in an interview. She sayd that she is able to sing a full opera concert, but she need a longer preparing with her vocal coach to do that perfectly.

A very impressive but different concert, which includes many classical songs, a number of covers, plus a few of her own songs. To spare my fingers I will link the wki article of the album below. Quick background. The lady doing the singing is a servant at masquerade ( I think) and she is mistaken for a famous actress. One point raised...having her shoulders up like that is not proper form nor has it anything to do with technique. I chalk it up to nerves. Either the music, the fear of costume malfunction (invest in strong tape kids), or both.😂 Anyways recorded in Czhek Republic Apr 4, 5, 6, 2014. I stand by my point I love seeing her so happy, so free to be her. As she put it in her best of album. Living the dream. Next up for me is to watch her version of Swanheart not seen since Wishes to Eternity back in 2000. It does not take much imagining to see why everyone loves this Lady and Queen. Tarja is quite literally her own definition of musician and artist. No one quite like her, before and it would be a very long time waiting to see anyone approach being like her in the near future. Not perfect, but a very good, quality performance of this aria by Tarja. I don't know why, but I'm annoyed by Floor fans who think that Floor has classical vocals on same level as Tarja. When Floor does a song like this (O mio babbino caro doesn't count, it's too easy), then I'll give up and accept the fact that Floor has same classical vocals as Tarja.

Look, i don t compare the classical hability of the two singers but this aria Tarja sings is a Coloratura aria, it means the singer must use special skills during the song

@@alexandra-md5he Well, that's great. We can see how difficult it is for Tarja to sing this aria. Her singing voice is also very far from a coloratura soprano. I would like to see Floor sing something similar with trills, scales, passages, etc. After all, according to many people she is as good as or even better than Tarja in opera vocals.
