I think is an awesome version. Stop comparing it to the actual Oogie boogie song, they cannot be compared in any way. Take it for what it is, a gorgeous flamenco guitar piece.

@unorthodoxJ No, I don't think so. I saw an interview with him and Danny Elfman where Danny was saying that he wanted Mr. Manson on the album. And yes, of course I could record it, but I meant that I would have really loved to have been on the album. I'm a huge fan of the film and soundtrack.

All I have to say is that Rodrigo and Gabriella obviously did something right (and BETTER) to be put on the album. Tiger Army was just a download and wasnt sold in stores. Its a great song, and vocals arent needed to hear the creativity on this song or the trouble making Oogie is up to. I hear Oogies theme loud and clear.

@HappyPurpleBoy Actually possible considering the only difference between the guitar and our voice is a guitar is pluck, strummed, and picked while we use air to vibrate our vocal chords. One way of looking at it is all. Just like writing has a tone.

Wow this is amazing! I like this more than the original. It's like dark jazz almost metal. I think this is the best cover I have ever heard.

This version is nice, but for me the most memorable part of the song was the voice and the lyrics. To be honest I almost didn't notice the instrumentals; I'm certain I'd notice if they were missing, but they weren't a large player in the song. So I'd say it makes sense for this to sound "off" or for people not to like it due to its lack of lyrics; it's good music, but it's not as good of an Oogie Boogie song.

The Cynical Brony's Official KZread Page There's no spanish guitar or english guitar, there's just classical, folk and electric (those are the main three). Spain has a certain way of playing, true (flamenco and that stuff...).

@voiletdreams I actually emailed him about that a few months ago ^^; He said he would like to but was busy with recording songs for his newest album. But who knows, if enough of us ask he might do it now! =D

i think one of the main reasons is that the artists probably couldn't speak english since their from Mexico. Also, if you've seen the movie a lot, you should be able to follow along w/ no problem.

This is a cover. Of which, the whole point is creative expression. Where's the fun if it's exactly the same?! The whole concept of this band is gorgeous guitar playing. They have other covers too without the singing. Danny Elfman wouldn't have asked them to do it if he thought it should be done a different way...

@yahuaa You can even go more scientific than that. The only difference between the plucking of a guitar string and a human voice is the combination of formants in any particular portion of the sound.
