The best movie on the subject. 100% Better than Witness to the Mob with Nick Turturro, better than Boss of Bosses with Chazz Palminteri and immensely better than the new Gotti movie with John Travolta. Armand Assante was so good and the supporting cast was just as good. Anthony Quinn, William Forsythe, Frank Vincent, Dominic Chianese, Vincent Pastore and Tony Sirico... This is proof that you don't need a decent budget to make a brilliant movie. All you need is a talented director, and some great acting. Hell you don't even need a good scriptwriter, as John Gotti's life provided enough material for half a dozen movies! This is so good! Blast from the past, ain't seen this since the 90s, before I watched The Sopranos, didn't remember how many of them were in this! Armand Asante kills it in this role. This movie is criminally underrated. Better and more rewarcheable then a dozen Oscar Best Picture winners.
Love when Neil tells off Paulie at 17:02, even though it's a serious scene it gets me laughing every time
If Don Carlo would have said you gotta go, I would come here today with these two Zips, and you'd go. That dialogue is so underrated.
It's unfortunate that Anthony Quinn never starred in a movie about Neil Dellacroce. Such an amazing portrayal in this film.

Anilieo Dellacroce dieing words really hit home there is a legend that Alexander the great said he wanted his hands to hang out of his coffin to show he came into this world with nothing and was leaving with nothing he had conquered most of the know world by then one month short of his 33 birthday making him the most powerful man of his time in June 323 bc his death he was aware that his legacy was all he could take and people are still analyzing and talking about this man today!
John didn't listen, Neil tried to tell him that breaking the rules will bring the whole thing down, Joe tried to tell him he's letting the average person to into "This thing of ours" but John didn't listen, he was more interested in pissing the feds off and being famous then being a boss. This film was really incredible in its story telling, great cast, great setting. Great film
Quinn was a giant among actors. He could play any part. The Greatest.
