FULL MOTO. JLaw, Dungey & Grant Duke It Out! | Budds Creek 2007 - 250 Moto 2

It's not often you dig back into some old motos and find three big names of recent memory in our sport absolutely going to battle during their younger years. While the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki duo of Ryan Villopoto and Ben Townley were stealing the show during the 2007 Motocross Lites season, youngsters Ryan Dungey, Josh Grant, and Jason Lawrence found themselves reliving some of their amateur battles now on the professional level at Budds Creek. Watch the entire second moto from that 2007 Budds Creek National where Dungey, Grant, and Lawrence exchange several passes over many laps in a frantic battle for third place.

Man i remember watching this race on tv the day of the race. I remember thinking that was the most intense battle ever! Now, 17yrs later i can still recall this moto and still think it is one of the best moto battles in history.

2007. I went to the mxon that year at this track. Watched RV beating everyone on the 250. The crowd went wild.

One race does not make a champion. J-Law looks like he's homeless now and Dungey is set for life. These two could not be more polar opposites. In commitment, dedication, fortitude, success. Dungey has it, J-Law never did.

Believing that J Law wouldn't flake out before the season started was a pipe dream.

I was trying to find that part, where JLaw338 hurt RD5 soul…. I saw where Dunge ended up sliding out himself, whilst ahead of JLaw, (after passing JLaw, in an epic three rider battle between them and Josh Grant) JLaw was a talent for sure; it’d have been nice to see him reach his potential, but all that matters is his own happiness, and pursuit their of.

That my friends is called PURE racing. Listen to those long stroke carb'd 4-strokes in the beginning era of the 4-strokes.🫡
