the word "thank you" can't do my gratefulness for this video justice. but yeah, I appreciate this tutorial a real lot. fr fr fr. Tekken 8 is the second Tekken that I've played after Tekken 3, which was like 15-16 yrs ago and all the moves that you show in here are damn useful for a beginner like me.

Rewatched this after gaining some Leo experience and understanding of the systems. It still keeps on giving. Ty for the guide Madara 🙏🏻

this is a really amazing guide! been using it to brush up on my Leo every time I come back to this game and it's been invaluable. I think it's also worth mentioning, for anyone watching who doesn't know; since this video came out, Lightning Skypiercer (QCF2,4) [7:48] got SUPER buffed in 1.05, and it now does chip damage and is safe on block at -4. It's still launch punishable if they duck it, so you still have to be careful, but it's much more usable. It's a staple move for me now.

Depends on what character your using tbh, but at the same time I get where u are coming from. A lot of factors to consider in this game but watching guides will definitely make u a better player.

Great guide, thank you! What do you recommend as the best use of floor breaks/bursts for leo? I havent been able to find combos that add hardly any damage after a floor hazard.

@@ianmccrary7457 thanks a lot. Actually a good idea for a Video aswell. What i usually do is safe the Tornado hit for the wall and then i do b1,4 knk3,4 then d2 for the floor blast and then ws1,41. I might do a more detailed video taking about it in the upcoming weeks

I struggle doing Da Kai (1+2 during sidestep). Does anyone have an advice ? I need to be more consistant :') Great guide by the way, I improve a lot.

Just picked up T8 as my first fighting game last week and started maining Leo. I could work myself up to assailant but it's getting harder to make progress. Even as a beginner it seems to me like i often don't really have the range i need to punish, especially if i need a low attack. Good to hear that that seems to be actually a weakness of the character and not just me

Yh its a big part for sure when it comes to the range of leo. sometimes you will have a hard time opening up your opponent. even the tracking can be bad on some moves sometimes making comebacks a bit harder with leo. if you are still new to the game the biggest tip i can give you not to take things to fast and enjoy the journey as much as possible. the more pressure you will do on yourself the less fun you will have while playing. but if you need any tips or help im always here to help out ^^

As a newer player, I am finding very hard to find any guides anywhere that are showing this haha always seems a bit complicated, even though I believe you are explaining it via talking, it's hard to follow for me

Great vid bro, a correction tho, after a succesful b1+3, 2 leo gets lightning glare automatically no need to press 1+2 there. and adding to the options after ws4, 1+2 heatdash you can also do SS1+2 (to any side) and does the exact same damage as running 3 but i think is way easier to input and gives leo better oki

you can also enter KNK by jabbing 1,2 then pressing back. But it's kinda risky i think.

Great info, only feedback is to slow down a little. As someone new to Leo it’s a little harder to follow at times because info is coming so fast

For some reason why I try to practice sidestep 1+2 I'm having a really hard time actually doing it instead of his standing 1+2. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

actually im also having that issues sometimes when i play online. you gotta delay your 1+2 a little bit more until the sidestep happens to not get standing 1+2. try to wait just a bit more after doing your sidestep.

Its d3+4. Basically down and both kick buttons. I think its the very last move on the movelist. Also thank you for liking my guide ^^

The nerf to leo b3,1 made the "mind game" pointless since anyone who knows can stop every option easily. Same with b1, 1+2 on block. Idk why they did that to her without making an adjustment that makes sense

@@Madara-en9oi apologies, i have notifications off. when u explain the specific move in ur guide, u just have the one input. every combo u do or specific strings following the moves arent shown. for example when u explain his magic 4 at 4:05 , i have no idea what ur inputting following the CH. i know it comes with experience but since T8 is my introduction, i have no idea whats happening... would be helpful with the training input history.

is there a particular reason for why the stances are named BOK and KNK in notations? xD great guide btw! looking to pick up Leo as a secondary character and this really helped me on my way :D very much appreciated ^^

thank you verry much. i believe its because these stances where called bokuho (bok) and kin kei (knk) during Tekken 6 time where leo was a new character. i believe thats what the pro players called it because it was the name in the movelist but im not 100% sure.

Don't use Tekken 6 terms when making a guide for Tekken 8. Many new players, nobody knows what bok or knk is. Use the terms that are in the game. Have to dislike the video because of it, but people gotta learn.

everyone has been using this terms for a reason. if i teach them other words they will be suprised why nobody uses them. if you want i can teach them that knk is actually called tui bu jin ji du li if thats what you want but i dont think i have seen a single person use that term ^^
