Berhalter works these questions like he has a degree in public relations....he does full sentences without actually giving anything away.

Unless of course he's at a leadership conference and thinks he's off the record. Then he blasts out dirty laundry from a World Cup locker room.

I don’t think so. In fact, he stated that he wasn’t prepared to answer the question (prob bc US Soccer & all media don’t put ANY pressure or expectations on him)and then just babbled about how great it was going to be to play against actual competitive teams outside of CONCACAF.

@@4liferssslockedinit can be hard to tell because he has a dry sense of humor, but he was being sarcastic about not being able to answer that question.

Will someone explain to me who it is that thinks his experience is enough to lead this team. Thank goodness most of our roster play for some of Europe and the World's best managers.

Can we please get a new coach? You can't convince me that after so much due diligence, he was the best option we had.

Klopp, Mourinho, Tuchel, Flick and even Xavi will all be or potentially be available after Copa America. No reason to not put out a Godfather offer to any of them to lead this team in the 2026 world cup. Get rid of Berhalter if we want to actually take this home world cup seriously

Berhalter”s flaw is that he didn”t call up many players that could have developed into something different just by playing with our 23 man roster. Instead he gave playing time to MLS players that were being outplayed by MLS players that deserved call ups. He played favoritism and that 1. stunted the growth of the entire team 2. Sabotaged our player pool and consequently, our team depth and roster dynamic. 3. Altered our right to self determination vs teams in friendly’s and in the last World Cup The loyal usmnt supporters sit quietly suffering and bitter , unable to get rid of this situation . We deserve better as usmnt supporters and the players deserve better chances and prospects for their hard work instead of a guy who is still learning on the job and isn’t yet prepared for this. Berhalter needs to turn over the keys to this luxury sports team because Berhalter still operates with a learner”s permit . He better show us something different with this team because he has only shown us a “learning on the job” scenario

I spoke with someone who was on staff for the last world cup at a conference. Greg didn't believe theyd beat the Netherlands. He doesnt believe they can win. I am no fool. They arent the best team, but if you dont believe its possible.....what are we even doing? American sports is believing. Its putting it all out on the field and having nothing left in the tank when its over. Hate to say it, hes not the guy. There are obviously also larger issues in US soccer and our youth system and accountability, but sorry hes not the guy to lead us to where we want to be

I think G³ is a nice guy - I like him. But why do I keep thinking Lalas would be 100x a better coach? Competence? Yes. Communication skills? Yes. Passion? Yes. We're not going to the World Cup final with milquetoast Berhalter. But with a coach that has competence, communication skills, and passion, heck yeah, it's a real possibility for the first time in American history. We have the players.

Gregg Berhalter has done more for documented domestic abusers than anyone since Mike Tyson! He has shown that anyone who beats their wife & is fired for doing so has a job waiting for them at US Soccer… it doesn’t matter how untalented they are at their job or unqualified they are for the position. Good hire, Jay Berhalter!!

Off topic. Besides, people can change, not to mention it sounds as though his wife (girlfriend) at the time wasn't exactly innocent of antagonizing him. He should not have reacted as he did, not even close, but let's stop the purity act in this charade which is simply the joint infantilization--deificiation of the other half of the population. This isn't blasphemy we're talking about.

I was loving Gregg Berhalter so much at the past but now I do not love him and his performances on the team We lost to tought teams 3-1 like Netherlands and Germany. We can not beat tough elite teams with Gregg and his management He needs to take help from professional coaches to manage the USA Men Team.❤❤❤🤍🤍🤍💙💙💙💯
